Brown & Brown is looking for an Account Executive to join our Surety team specializing in Renewable Energy!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth
Provide customer support to the customer's decision-makers as well as day-to-day technical customer representatives
Develop and pursue cross-selling opportunities with Customer Account Managers
Monitor level of customer service and assist with claim issues as needed
Follow-up to address and resolve customer complaints and resolve any problems or issues
Encourage and coordinate teamwork and communication among those who service customers
Ensure proper resources from within the organization are involved and introduce new products/processes to improve customer experiences
Create and oversee customer service plans for customers and understand the needs of the customer
Prepare customer presentations and new business strategies, including proposals while ensuring agreement with customer's requests and requirements
Set regularly scheduled meetings on a frequency that is appropriate for each customer
Present proposals to customers, ensuring appropriate teammates and resources are represented and/or attend
Assist the Customer Account Managers with the collection of receivables
Maintain good relations with carrier personnel
Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgement
Keep current on marketplace changes and inform customers as necessary
Become significantly involved and develop expertise in a declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities
Other duties or special projects may be assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in the field of business or financial related field is preferred with three (3) years of related insurance experience; other combination of work and/or education will be considered
Advanced understanding of surety and business terminology is preferred
Exceptional telephone demeanor with above average empathy, able to read the subtleties of non-verbal communication and respond accordingly
Strong, consistent, and assertive communication skills
Highly self-confident and able to rebound from the rejection
Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
AMS360 experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated ability
Maintain a high level of confidentiality

Target Pay: $90K - $135 annually
