Under minimal supervision, directs and controls the activities of the Maintenance function to ensure that all production and support equipment is maintained at levels which are as efficient and reliable as possible. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the facility itself is maintained and is a safe work environment.

Supervises and directs the maintenance function and 15 to 20 hourly employees on the plant floor to ensure that plant and equipment continue to be efficient and reliable.
Minimizes unscheduled downtime by monitoring and resolving reoccurring issues
Conducts an effective PM and RCM programs by monitoring procedures, frequency of service, etc.
Ensures equipment PM is prioritized in such a way to minimize production losses, resulting from both scheduled and unscheduled downtime
Provides technical assistance to the maintenance employees in troubleshooting and problem solving repairs & PM's on production equipment on the plant floor.
Interacts with outside contractors and spare parts suppliers.
Assists and supports department manager on GEMBA walks, managing the maintenance department hourly Mechanics' projects and monitoring plant floor conditions.
Prior field experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of packaging converting equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be a high energy leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.
Education & Other requirements:
Manufacturing/Production 5+ to 7 Years experience is required. College degree preferred but a Technical degree or equivalent Military training, or work experience is required. Continued education is considered a plus. Must possess a mechanical aptitude, understand machine electrical controls and functions, be quality conscious and customer oriented.
