PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises craft personnel engaged in the construction, operation and maintenance of company overhead electric and/or underground electric and/or gas facilities. Supervises resources in a manner that ensures the safe, efficient, economical, and expeditious completion of work with high regard for customer satisfaction to accomplish desired results. Promotes safety principles and assist in the training and development of the craft workforce. Ensure the focus and attainment of business goals and objectives. Maintains an environment that promotes safety, environmental compliance, diversity, innovation and high productivity. Ensure compliance with the application of the collective bargaining agreement.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct craft employees engaged in the execution of scheduled and emergent work activities, to assure the highest levels of customer service and to achieve safety, reliability and productivity goals.

  • Provide leadership to and development of the craft workforce.

  • Coach and evaluate employee performance with timely recognition.

  • Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for growth and learning for craft personnel.

  • Executes labor strategies involving employees covered under the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Coordinate emergency response to restore continuity of service to customers, requiring 24-hour on-call responsibilities and varied work schedules, as required by business needs.

  • Work within departmental budgets.

  • Plan resource coverage and execute work activities directed at achievement of business plans and business unit objectives.

  • Develop alternative courses of action that are based on logical assumptions and factual information after considering resources, constraints, and organizational values.

  • Ability to recognize unusual conditions and take corrective action

  • Promote and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance culture and a learning organization.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • 5-8 years internal utility company experience (e. g. , ComEd, PECO), or equivalent external experience

  • 4 or more years internal supervisory experience (e. g. , ComEd, PECO, BSC, ExGen), or receive acceptable rating on Supervisory Assessment

  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license

  • Demonstrated knowledge of operating and construction work practices.

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to support and enforce safe work behavior; requires working knowledge of safety rules and work practices.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Current Operator Qualification for all covered tasks involved in the construction, installation and connection of gas mains and services for those who work on gas facilities.

  • Extensive knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement and related procedures, policies and processes

  • Ability to train personnel in work practices and use of line construction tools and equipment.

  • Ability to recognize unusual conditions and take corrective actions.

  • Extensive experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities.

Qualifications

Directs the craft employees engaged in the execution of the construction, operation and maintenance of company overhead and/or underground electric facilities. These responsibilities include preventative/corrective maintenance, new business, system reinforcement and facility relocation activities within the assigned regional operating area. Provides input into the planning, implementation and execution of the operations, maintenance and reliability programs. Responsible for implementing labor strategies involving employees covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Determines manpower and equipment requirements necessary for scheduled and emergent work to ensure maximum utilization of construction crews.

Must be able to maintain effective internal business controls. Conduct safety audits, meetings, investigations, and employee performance reviews.

Regular contact with leadership of Distribution System Operations, Construction & Maintenance, Transmission and Substation, Work Management, Engineering, Asset Management, New Business and local union stewards. Other contacts include building contractors, municipal leaders, major industrial customers, and various municipal organizations (fire, police etc).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Conducts sensitive investigations which require significant understanding of depth and scope of potential impact that investigative results may have upon employees and/or business initiatives. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired, investigative results, and makes recommendations in support of correcting internal controls issues, and/or policy/procedural deficiencies surfaced by the investigation. Plans, organizes and conducts minimal to complex investigations of alleged violations of law or the company's code of business conduct. Conducts investigative as well as information-seeking interviews of employees and non-employees, documents investigations, handles evidence, maintains liaison with internal and external resources, in order to achieve favorable results that support Exelon's business units and efforts. Conducts independent, highly complex, significant, confidential investigations throughout the Corporation. Provides recommendations to operating management to strengthen controls and further mitigate risk. Prepares clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports based upon established procedures. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES * Conducts complex and confidential internal/external investigations for the Corporation. Identifies internal controls issues and works with BU management toward corrective action, so as to preclude additional, like problems. * Creates and inputs investigative incidents and results into Security case management system. * Reviews and analyzes background investigations for employees regarding derogatory information received during the vetting process. * Establishes and maintains federal, state, county and local law enforcement contacts and relationships. * Provides support for other Corporate Security functions and activities (Annual Shareholder Meeting, tabletop exercises, Executive Protection, Vulnerability Assessments, Crisis Management and BCP) * Provide employee training regarding such areas, but not limited to violence in the workplace, fraud, employee safety, physical site security and any other Security programs. POSITION SCOPE * Position Interacts with Business Unit leaders during the investigative process. * Provides and counsels management on risk mitigation recommendations, identifies internal controls weaknesses, and provides recommendations to strengthen the controls environment. * Investigations are conducted to support or refute allegations, with an emphasis on independent and impartial fact finding and investigating any actions which are perceived to be violative of the Company's Code of Business Conduct. * Works under minimal supervision. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree. * Five to eight years of law enforcement or Corporate Security experience in a Fortune 500 company. * Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. * Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications; Microsoft Word, Excel; Outlook. * Strong working knowledge of regulatory and accounting regulations (SOX, US Federal Sentencing Guidelines and GAAP) and company polices and procedures (Code of Conduct, Corporate Governance, etc.). * Ability to obtain Concealed Carry Permits for applicable states, as necessary * Ability to obtain Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) qualifications for applicable states, as necessary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Business or Criminal Justice. * Certified Fraud Examiner. * Experience in conducting vulnerability assessment of physical facilities. * Experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management. * At least two (2) years as a professional Law Enforcement/Security Instructor at a bonafide police agency or security company. * Prior corporate experience.
