Timely, accurate and compliant execution and administration of various shared services functions in a corporate office location.. Supervise a staff of analysts and specialists to maintain an environment of accountability, empowerment, achievement and mutual respect..
Work with staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of cash receipts and/or disbursements exceptions and aged items / amounts
Respectful and effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Oversee the compilation of data for account entry; research and resolve problems as they occur
Continuous improvement including project teamwork
Assist in the implementation of strategic corporate initiatives
Assist in developing and maintaining meaningful accounts payable measurement metrics for not only internal productivity measures but also for comparison to industry and market benchmarks
Evaluate office operations and make appropriate changes in resources or processes to increase efficiency
Maintain and verify transactional level data
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts Complete periodic general ledger account reconciliations, analysis and reporting in alignment with period-end closing deadlines
Prepare f monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Assist in the management and planning of department budget
Hire, train, coach and supervise the performance of staff
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of COPA (as defined by SAP)
Knowledge of cash receipts and disbursements - processes and methods
Strong analytical skills and math skills
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated supervisory skills
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to operate a computer and supporting software; working knowledge of SAP / ARIBA preferred
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business; accounting emphasis preferred
Demonstrated supervisory experience
5+ years' demonstrated accounting or bookkeeping experience
Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
