Job Purpose

Timely, accurate and compliant execution and administration of various shared services functions in a corporate office location.. Supervise a staff of analysts and specialists to maintain an environment of accountability, empowerment, achievement and mutual respect..

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of cash receipts and/or disbursements exceptions and aged items / amounts

  • Respectful and effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Oversee the compilation of data for account entry; research and resolve problems as they occur

  • Continuous improvement including project teamwork

  • Assist in the implementation of strategic corporate initiatives

  • Assist in developing and maintaining meaningful accounts payable measurement metrics for not only internal productivity measures but also for comparison to industry and market benchmarks

  • Evaluate office operations and make appropriate changes in resources or processes to increase efficiency

  • Maintain and verify transactional level data

  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts Complete periodic general ledger account reconciliations, analysis and reporting in alignment with period-end closing deadlines

  • Prepare f monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting

  • Assist in the management and planning of department budget

  • Hire, train, coach and supervise the performance of staff

  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

  • Perform other duties as necessary


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of COPA (as defined by SAP)

  • Knowledge of cash receipts and disbursements - processes and methods

  • Strong analytical skills and math skills

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software; working knowledge of SAP / ARIBA preferred

  • Education:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business; accounting emphasis preferred


  • Demonstrated supervisory experience

  • 5+ years' demonstrated accounting or bookkeeping experience

  • Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Serves as the Human Resources Business Partner to all functional areas comprising Loews Hotels & Co Corporate Shared Services Center, while also contributing as a member of the Corporate Human Resources team on the execution of Loews Hotels & Co HR and People strategies. These strategies encompass a broad range of areas including but not limited to: the talent management continuum, business administration, compliance, EEO/AA activities, performance management, talent acquisition and development, and Team Member engagement initiatives. The Human Resources Business Partner is based in Nashville, TN and reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. Job Specific * Serves as a strategic thought partner and source of credible sound advice and counsel to functional areas within the Loews Hotels & Co Corporate Shared Services Center. * Consults with Corporate Shared Services functional areas and provides human resources guidance when appropriate. * Displays business acumen and financial knowledge in stakeholder partnership efforts. * Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to functional areas (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development) and facilitates the execution of corrective actions. * Works closely with functional areas to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. * Facilitates the resolution of work-related conflicts between Team Members, supervisors, and department heads. * Manages and resolves complex Team Member relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary. * Provides support to functional area Leaders with Team Member coaching and corrective action strategies. * Provides human resources policy guidance and interpretation. * Provides guidance and input on talent, business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Partners with the Talent Center of Expertise ("COE") as needed. * Identifies training needs for Corporate Shared Services functional areas and partners with the appropriate COE stakeholders as needed on development and delivery. * Facilitates the talent acquisition process, including candidate selection and interviewing ensuring the timely fulfillment of staffing requirements. . * Ensures the effective Onboarding of new Corporate Shared Services Leaders and Team Members through effective collaboration with functional areas and subordinates. * Acts as the culture and Team Member engagement Leader for the Corporate Shared Services Center through the coordination of community, recognition and other events. * Executes and optimizes Team Member engagement strategies for Corporate Shared Services and Loews Hotels & Co. * Chairs all local committees including Good Neighbor Counsel, Donors Choose, Green Team, Safety and Healthy Workplace while ensuring effectiveness and communicating results to Senior Leadership. * Performs job market analysis, budgeted market adjustment recommendations and on-going compensation administration including bonus plans in partnership with the Compensation COE. * Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the VP, HR on legal related compliance projects as needed. * Partners with various human resources and Corporate Shared Services stakeholders to ensure accountability as it relates to employment compliance matters. * Manages the affirmative action planning process for the Corporate Shared Services Center. * Partners with HRMS to compile information in company affirmative action data to increase diversity efforts, specifically related to minority outreach. * Conducts Team Member Exit Interviews for functional areas. Monitors trends and communicates critical feedback to division executive Leaders as needed. * Maximizes the use of Workday system capabilities inclusive of compliance, reporting, performance optimization and general effectiveness for the Corporate Shared Services Center. Partners with other human resource leaders and IT stakeholders to implement enhanced features of the HRIS system. * Performs the administration of unemployment insurance tax management, including all responses, appeals, and hearings. * Develops Human Resources budget and works within approved budgetary guidelines for the department. * Leads the Corporate Shared Services Human Resources Coordinator as a direct supervisor. * Partners with other human resources Leaders as needed to support initiatives in human resources, compliance, communications, Team Member engagement, talent acquisition, talent management, training and systems optimization. * Partners with Talent Acquisition and other Leaders in the Talent COE to develop and maintain recruitment and retention strategies. * Assists with the planning and facilitation of human resources division meetings. Preferred: Hotel and or shared services center experience preferred. Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a Human Resources, Business Management, Communications, correlated discipline.
