Job Purpose

Timely, accurate and compliant execution and administration of various shared services functions in a corporate office location.. Supervise a staff of analysts and specialists to maintain an environment of accountability, empowerment, achievement and mutual respect..

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of cash receipts and/or disbursements exceptions and aged items / amounts

  • Respectful and effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Oversee the compilation of data for account entry; research and resolve problems as they occur

  • Continuous improvement including project teamwork

  • Assist in the implementation of strategic corporate initiatives

  • Assist in developing and maintaining meaningful accounts payable measurement metrics for not only internal productivity measures but also for comparison to industry and market benchmarks

  • Evaluate office operations and make appropriate changes in resources or processes to increase efficiency

  • Maintain and verify transactional level data

  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts Complete periodic general ledger account reconciliations, analysis and reporting in alignment with period-end closing deadlines

  • Prepare f monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting

  • Assist in the management and planning of department budget

  • Hire, train, coach and supervise the performance of staff

  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of COPA (as defined by SAP)

  • Knowledge of cash receipts and disbursements - processes and methods

  • Strong analytical skills and math skills

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software; working knowledge of SAP / ARIBA preferred

  • Education:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business; accounting emphasis preferred

Experience:

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience

  • 5+ years' demonstrated accounting or bookkeeping experience

  • Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Job Purpose To provide complex support within an assigned area and discipline by providing accurate, consistent, and timely information and support to department management and end users Key Responsibilities * Coordinate with IT and assist discipline management with troubleshooting application problems, modifications and enhancements and provide quality assurance on those approved enhancements/modifications. * Responsible for responding to user questions and provide second line support for end users. * Assist BI team in developing reports through requirement gathering, testing and implementation * Participate in design reviews, create functional needs analysis and define product requirements to improve usability and system value * Assist in the development of processing efficiencies through thorough knowledge of data processing requirements * Assist in the development of effective systems that process the distribution of vendor payments and application of customer cash receipts * Assist with change management as it's related to corporate initiatives and/or process efficiency implementations * Provide training plans and materials for end users and adapt training in conjunction with system changes and upgrades * Maintain effective relationships across many process streams including but not limited to PTP and FTM to ensure end to end processing efficiencies * Lead the knowledge transfer to management, developers and end users * Attend other duties and special projects as assigned * Travel may be required * Prepare statements, invoices, and moderately complex reports * Process accounts payables and/or accounts receivables. Balance accounts * Work with vendors and customers in resolving account issues and discrepancies * Assume tasks and responsibilities as other accounting clerks and/or supervisor as needed * Perform miscellaneous office duties * Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. * Perform other duties as necessary Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Expert knowledge of business concepts and applications in assigned business area * Proficiency with multiple operating systems and working knowledge of MS Office Suite * Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills * Strong analytical and math skills * Strong organizational and problem solving skills * Proven ability to manage multiple and changing priorities * Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment * Proven ability to operate a computer and supporting software Education: * Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred and/or related experience equivalent Experience: * 3 - 5 years' accounting or clerical experience required * Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position Work Environment * Office environment LP offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including health and welfare benefits, 401(k) program, career mobility, tuition reimbursement, volunteer opportunities, profit sharing and more.
