Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Serves as a dynamic and energetic leader, whilefostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Establishes self as highly credible leader with highest levels of integrity,and always acts in the best interests of the property and the company.
Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using a consistent,approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations. Ensures that teammembers clearly understand and are held accountable for their performanceexpectations. Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals andgroups when consistent superior performance is attained.
Works as a changeagent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamlinedepartment operations, through the continuous assessment of policies andprocedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value. Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts betweendifferent points of view. Demonstrates leadership skills in determining avision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision. Partners and
Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficientoperations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained,motivated employees. Embraces, role models and implements all elements ofour customer service program including FOCUS skills, Spotlight on Success and
Buzz Sessions, and tier prioritized service. Recommends and implementschange to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction. Establishe and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Harrah'Entertainment Inc. in accordance with the Code of Commitment.
Develops and maintains on-track simulcasbusiness. Processes customer requests for credit card cash advances and personal check cashing using network-widecomputer system.
Rapidly and accurately disburses approved funds tocustomers . Provides input to Simulcast Manager to refine simulcast schedule tomaximize revenues. Promotes outstandingcustomer service and build relationships with players. Works as team with mutuels, racing, F&B,EVS and Security to provide an excellent racing and wagering guest experience.
During off-track simulcasting, delivers,picks up, and balances racing materials from route, including Daily RacingForms, Sports Eyes, and tip sheets after. Assists in all evening promotions and special events. Makes appropriate informationalannouncements to guests as necessary.
Facilitates property's relationship withapplicable vendors. Ensures compliancewith PA Harness Racing Commission regulations and other gaming regulations asrequired. Ensures adherence todepartmental/company policies and procedures.
Promotes and engage employees and customers with Total Rewards and other marketing programs. Implement strategies and operating plans that will heighten the guest experience andimprove operating effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Significant understanding of and exposure to pari-mutuel operations, with a four-yea degree or equivalent work experience. Valid PA Harness Commission license or ability to receive license.
If required,valid PA Gaming license or ability to receive license pending regulatorydevelopment. Managerial,organizational and administrative skills. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communications, and problem-solvingskills required.
Strong leadership andcustomer relations skills. Provenability to build and manage relationships as part of a team. Solid understanding of the pari-mutuelcustomer's motivations and expectations.
Is able to work in smokefilled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods oftime.
Must be able to obtain a Harnesslicense through the state of Pennsylvania .
