Join our Surgery team as a Supervisor, Patient Care where you will work in with our team of highly skilled and engaged health professionals providing exceptional patient care. You will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, you will share leadership responsibilities for the unit by managing daily staffing plans, ensure the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating total patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
This is a Day Shift, Full Time (80 hours per pay period) exempt position.
Two (2) years experience as an RN in the Operating Room
One (1) year leadership experience (i.e. charge RN)
Current California RN license
Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare
Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through
Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care
