Summary of Core Job Functions: The Milieu Coordinator provides oversight of the therapeutic milieu in all areas of the hospital. The oversight/management of the milieu includes ensuring program schedules are followed, providing role modeling specific to managing patients with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses requiring a variety of levels of care (acute, subacute, and residential), as well as mentoring direct care staff in guiding patients towards attaining treatment goals. The Milieu Coordinator is a liaison to Nurse Managers and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services. The Milieu Coordinator will be responsible for immediately responding to all codes and function as a co-lead with the Charge Nurse on the floor de-escalating situations and milieu oversight. The Milieu Coordinator will assist with both formal and informal training of MHTs.

Qualifications

Job Specifications:

• Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3 years' experience working in a mental health setting or a Bachelor's Degree in a human service field and/or

• At least two years' experience working as a Mental Health Technician and/or experience as Milieu Manager with River Park Hospital

• Must be crossed trained to all units/populations within River Park Hospital
