ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary

Assists the Manager of Environmental Services in supervising and coordinating the housekeeping department in order to maintain the facility in a clean and orderly condition. Monitors work flow for all employees on assigned shift.

Responsible for training (new and ongoing), performing QA inspections, patient and employee surveys and supervising of staff on assigned shift.

Responsible for managing the department when department manager is out of building.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is guided by thorough knowledge of all housekeeping procedures, applicable laws, government regulations, and policies and procedures of the department and facility.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED- or higher.

Three to Five years of healthcare housekeeping or Associate Degree. Some Advanced Education preferred.

Experience at leading a team preferred.

Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit detailed instructions in writing and orally. Ability to create reports for department.

2nd shift

• M-F, 3pm

• 11:30pm with rotating weekends
