Support Technician I (Dogfooding, PC, Mobile, Testing)

Q Analysts is looking for a team of Support Technicians to support the Dogfooding Program for our Client who designs and develops a range of hardware products. The Support Technician will help with basic troubleshooting on devices, flashing devices and getting devices ready for shipping out for dogfooding with internal users and perform other administrative tasks. Needs good attention to detail, good follow through and a can do attitude along with basic PC/Mac skills.

Role includes:

  • Enrolling dogfooders in the program

  • Verify functionality of basic hardware and software components

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in-person and via email / chat (if necessary)

  • Checking out or shipping devices to dogfooders for at-home dogfooding

  • Prep and maintain the dogfooding assets in good working order

  • Guide end-users through best practices for take-home trial experience

  • Flashing devices with newer updates and reissuing/shipping

  • Promote take-home program to employees via tabling, flyering, or other necessary channels

  • Greet and direct employees to check-out process with an energetic and positive attitude

  • Work as a team to support the project success

  • Report results of work as requested by leadership

  • Maintain a general awareness of product information, communication, and training materials

The IT Support Technician will support all users to effectively use personal computer equipment and software for high productivity. Responsibilities: * Provide timely first level support for all end-users, both local and remote. * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and voice/data communication systems issues. * Support Microsoft Office, Office 365, 3rd party and custom software applications. * Support various Macintosh native and 3rd party applications. * Configure, deploy and support laptop, workstation and lab systems. * Manage and support mobility devices, including monitoring usage, device purchases and refreshes. * Monitor security applications and usage. * Resolve or re-assign helpdesk requests through the Salesforce ticketing system in a timely manner. * Escalate calls/tickets per company processes when necessary. * Create and modify concise, accurate and informative documentation to simplify processes for end users. * Follow all operational standards, policies, and procedures. * Must use Service Desk Software such as Remedy Force for day-to-day operation. * Provide excellent customer service while displaying a sense of urgency in the resolution of issues. All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities. Position Requirements: * Associate or Bachelor degree in a technology discipline or 5+ years experience. * Working knowledge of Active Directory. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, Office 2007 through 2016 and Office 365 administration. * Advanced knowledge of Apple hardware and Software required. * Experience with multi-vendor hardware troubleshooting and repair is desired. * Excellent people and team working skills. * Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills are a must. * Ability and desire to learn quickly and share knowledge. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Strong problem solving and research capabilities. * Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure are required. * Ability to handle occasional rotating on-call support weekends and evenings. * Experience supporting Audio/Visual equipment and Video Conferencing required. * 5 years prior customer service, call center or help desk experience is required. * CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications a plus.
