The Boeing Company is seeking a Support Technical Manager (K Level) in Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. The Support Technical Manager manages C17 West Field Service Technical Representatives (FSTRs) working at multiple customer locations

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Manages C-17 West FSTR employees performing technical or specialist activities within Product Support.

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Manages employees performing technical or specialist activities within Product Support.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Travel for work up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

This position requires an active US Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Minimum 3 years experience C-17 Platform/Program

  • Previous leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Technical experience on C-17 Platform is preferred

  • Program Management Best Practices experience is a plus; LEAN, EVM, RIO, etc.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
