Must be available 12 weekend shifts per year
Must be available for 2 holiday shifts per year (Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day) and one winter (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's)
Must be available 2 additional shifts per month
This position is covered by the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement
Provides backup support in various staffing situations for all areas of Materials Management: including, but not limited to, Purchasing, Distribution, Receiving, Special Equipment and Copy Center.
Responsible for ordering and distribution of supplies, materials and equipment. Set up, adjust, maintain and inventory all special equipment. Operate and maintain all print room equipment.
Prepare, reproduce and maintain supplies of commonly used copied materials and forms. Receives and ship out all deliveries correctly and in a timely manner.
High school graduate or equivalent mandatory.
Computer and typing skills preferred. College course in business administration preferred. Two or more year's hospital experience required.
1.Assures that purchase orders are completed accurately including information on pricing, delivery dates, terms and shipping arrangements.
2.Sets up returns and repairs for equipment and material in Meditech system.
3.Communicates all back orders or stock problems to customers on a timely basis.
4.Works with primary distributor on a daily basis to assure appropriate flow of all inventory products.
5.Communicates with other vendors, as necessary, to ensure appropriate delivers of products.
6.Keeps all paperwork filed and orderly in a timely manner.
1.Works with purchasing to maintain appropriate supply and inventory levels, while minimizing stock outs to departments and maintain maximum turns.
2.Works with departments to facilitate requests for products or services.
3.Maintains par level on a daily basis with accuracy.
4.Fills and delivers par levels on a daily basis with accuracy.
5.Fills and marks pick ticket orders properly with accuracy. Notifies purchasing and supervisor of stock outs and pick ticket discrepancies in a timely manner.
6.Records items issued to user properly.
7.Delivers orders and acquires proper signatures on delivery documents
8.Rotates stock and check for outdates and damaged goods daily.
9.Maintains area in a clean and neat manner and assures that shelves and areas are properly marked.
1.Receives all incoming materials and verifies quantity packaging and items type against purchase order. Rejects and make proper notations of all damage goods with accuracy.
2.Make proper notations on paperwork and computer of all discrepancies and notifies vendor or purchasing.
3.Receives and/or delivers all priority material in a timely manner.
4.Expedites normal shipouts and shipouts with Return Authorization number within a 24 hour period. Expedites priority ship outs same day.
5.Maintains loading dock area in a clean, neat, organized manner.
Print Room Functions:
1.Handles and maintains all in house printing and copying.
2.Ability to operate all print room equipment
3.Prepare, reproduces and maintains supplies of all commonly used printed materials and forms
4.Operates, maintains and keeps appropriate records on equipment. Equipment must be kept in a clean and operable condition.
Special Equipment Functions:
1.Responsible for maintenance of all special equipment and the inventory of supplies in the absence of the Special Equipment Technician.
2.Set up and adjust all types of traction equipment and special appliances on physicians' orders.
3.Maintains a log on all equipment in use.
4.Collects and processes vouchers and charge slips.
5.Prepares requisition for purchase of rental equipment.
6.Fills and delivers orders to departments.
7.Codes and puts away stock. Rotates stock properly.
8.Enter requisitions and receives stock accurately in the Meditech system.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with little or no supervision.
