Location: Cape Girardeau, MO

Full Time, Non-Exempt: Hours are 7:15am-3:45pm,with extended office hours provided, as per the need of each office.

Base Pay: $14.42/hour

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSE required

  • One year experience in similar office setting required.

  • Previous mental health experience preferred.

This position requires a valid driver's license, proof of continuous auto insurance, and must have an acceptable driving record as outlined by agency policy.

About this position:

Support Staff are the face and the voice of Community Counseling Center. In this position, you would be responsible for assisting both clients and staff with a multitude of various tasks. Support Staff greets all guests that visit or call our facility with a pleasant and helpful demeanor, while being observant of possible non-verbal needs of our clients, such as clients distress. Operating a multi-line phone system, keeping our Electronic Health Records system current, completing Admissions with new clients, scheduling appointments, assisting staff, and processing medical records, are among the daily tasks that you will be providing when working for Community Counseling Center.

What your duties would look like as a Support Staff:

  • Admitting Clients into our Services with our Admission Process

  • Providing Proper Check-in & Check-Out Procedures to Clients

  • Adequately Scheduling Appointments

  • Keeping EHR Information Current and Accurate

  • Answering Calls, Collecting Information from Clients and Distributing Messages to Staff

  • Multiple Additional Tasks as Assigned

  • You know your way around a computer and your advanced computer skills will help you provide our clients and staff with the most current information, in turn, becoming a key component in providing the best client care.

  • Utilizing your solid Customer Service skills such as compassion, empathy, positive demeanor, effective communication, active listening, adaptability, attentiveness, patience, self-control, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are necessary and will be always provided to our clients and staff.

  • Along with providing exceptional client care, protecting our clients information is of the utmost importance and will be required, as we adhere to all HIPAA laws and regulations.

  • How to navigate our EHR system, along with multiple other programs, to aid you in completing your daily functions.

  • How to operate from both client-centered & team-based approaches to provide each of our clients with continual exceptional care.

  • In addition, you will learn how to admit our clients into our services with our Admission process, keep client charts current, process medical records, assist with clients experiencing a crisis, an overview of all the services that we provide within our agency and how they all work with each other, and so much more.

How success is measured:

  • Client Satisfaction: This is often shown through verbal and non-verbal communication. Along with surveyed information from clients and peer feedback from staff.

  • Creating and Completing Personal Goals Through our Bamboo HR Program: Quarterly we set individual goals and work toward completing these throughout our daily routine.

  • Client Rapport and Reduced Conflict: When you build positive rapport with clients, you are also establishing a professional relationship of trust and understanding. When you have this with a client, it often assists in reduced client conflict, as we strive for positive experiences.

We are an administrative agent for the Missouri Department of Mental Health, and we are entrusted to provide a full array of comprehensive behavioral health services within our five county catchment area.

The agency allots time to allow for therapists to obtain CEUs as well as shares free training opportunities as available. In addition, CCC will reimburse the cost for licensure renewal for staff members providing therapy.
