JOB REQUISITION Support Specialist II LOCATION KING OF PRUSSIA JOB DESCRIPTION Robert Half is seeking a Support Specialist II who will coordinate, diagnose, and troubleshoot incoming global employee calls, tickets and external webmaster candidate emails.
They provide support services to employees and candidates with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop from local personnel and field office employees as well as employees using network remote access.
The Support Specialist provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer or candidate to appropriate technical personnel.
They provide case (incident) status updates to management and end-users.
The Support Specialist supports and maintains effective relationships with users.
They adhere to standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.
Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Answer front line support calls from corporate and field users with the ability to assist users with ""how to questions"" on various technical Issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer, network, and/or software issues including basic terminal server user maintenance from corporate and field users.
    Document all support incidents into support team incident tracking database.

  • Contribute to support team knowledge base on a regular basis with current and relevant customer and team documentation.

  • Able to help spot trends and work to validate solutions.

  • Assign tasks to third level support and/or IT escalation teams for further assistance.

    Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
    College degree preferred.

  • 2+ years technical support experience preferred.

  • MCSE or equivalent experience preferred.

  • PC troubleshooting knowledge.

  • Medium level of experience with using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Good understanding of Windows OS.

  • Ability to respond to phone calls, emails and incidents 80% of an 8 hour day at a desk in a cube environment.

  • Enter via keyboard information into a CRM database.

  • Make decisions as to what issues and to which department to escalate problems while gauging the impact and priority of these issues for our customers.

  • Assist Level I technicians with troubleshooting.

  • Ability to meet department standards.

  • Occasionally attend meetings in person and sometimes through conference calls.

  • Ability to perform work with limited instruction.

  • Consults with Level 3 or Lead/Supervisor as needed or on issues that require approval and exceed limit of authority.

POSITION PROFILE Candidate should be flexible with hours and able to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am-7pm, Monday through Friday, based on business needs. Key supporter of the daily operations of RICOH Managed Services contracted customer locations. Requires traveling to several locations in an assigned geographical area (Philadelphia, Western Suburbs, Wilmington DE, Southern New Jersey). Performs standard and advance service offerings such as: copy, print production, finish work, mail and shipping operations, reception, document scanning and filing, concierge, inventory control, logs, reports for billing and assists in IT support functions. The Field Support Representative will also assist management with process improvement, procedure testing and validation, implementation of new services, employee training, and ensuring field compliance with Ricoh's Managed Services methodology. This role serves as a developmental path to future account management positions. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs and assists with ensuring services are completed according to Ricoh Service Excellence requirements * Flexible with travel within a geographic territory * Works with a flexible schedule to cover time off requests for contracted customers' onsite staff, which may include managerial duties. * Provides feedback and suggestions to management to improve existing processes and procedures including validation of current procedures and correct site documentation. * Assist in the collection of data and is knowledgeable on the tools and methods used for the Monthly Management Report such as forms, logs, and site branding * Routinely identifies and documents process improvement suggestions and communicates them to management. * Knowledgeable of all daily operations and services offered within an account base. * Embraces the diverse customer environment and maintains excellent customer focus while performing on site duties. * Responsible for customer satisfaction by engaging end-user feedback and escalating concerns to the account manager and helps support resolution. * Works to learn and manage all aspects of the RICOH Service Center in the absence of the Site Manager or Supervisor. * Assists in the coordination of work assignments to meet specific deadlines and service deliverables. * Assists in copy/print production center and performs all functions required for the completion and delivery of all copy requests.
