The Bureau of Information and Telecommunications has a full-time permanent position open for a Support Services Technician. This entry-level position typically provides support to end users of state technology resources requiring problem-solving in one or more agencies, functions, or processes in the network, client support, application support, or related domains. Responsibilities include but are not limited to include deployment of computer software, researching, documenting, and applying NTFS permissions to agency work files, configuring print sessions, managing statewide print servers, managing the BIT warehouse, and assisting users when requested. Other duties include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting hardware/software failures, processing break/fix tickets, file/folder restores, and forklift operation.
You will provide courteous customer service to state agencies by following up on customer questions and resolving their problems quickly and efficiently. You will work both independently and closely with your team and collaborate with colleagues and clients to improve request fulfillment processes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Associates Degree or 2 years work experience in related computer support field is preferred.
Knowledge of:
Microsoft operating systems;
Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Teams;
Active Directory;
computer hardware and printers;
software installation and device configuration;
voice and video services;
customer service techniques and principles; and,
warehouse management and forklift operation.
