Support Managers direct the operations and day-to-day functions of a group home setting. The individual in this role will support four individuals to be successful and self-determined in developing and pursuing their goals. They will provide leadership and supervision to the support team while promoting active engagement and quality services.

This is an hourly (non-exempt) role with a rate of $28.85/hour (equivalent to $60,000 annually)

What you will do:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee Individual Support Plans and Outcomes for each participant living in the home

  • Provide guidance and leadership to direct support staff on the distribution of day-to-day responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and retention of new staff including daily notes, work site orientation, reviews, and supervised med passes

  • Manage staff retention, facilitating staff development, training, and corrective action when necessary.

  • Complete, update, and publish staff schedules using When I Work software

  • Support individuals with daily living skills, including but not limited to hygiene support, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment

  • Collaborate with the nursing team to understand and coordinate medical plans including medications, doctor appointments, and physical support required for each individual

  • Uphold Missouri Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities requirements, standards of support, and documentation compliance.

  • Assist individuals' integration into the community with participation in support groups, employment, volunteer participation, and other memberships

  • Assist individuals in planning and implementing personal goals, including empowering participants to make decisions

  • Manage department and individual spending to address needs and adhere to agency financial policies

  • Communicate professionally in stressful or emotional situations, especially to convey information and directions

  • Execute and implement standards for completion of required documentation, including daily notes, charting, monthly progress reports, behavior data, and personal outcomes

  • Support individuals in exercising their rights and responsibilities in all areas of life

  • STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT ASSISTANCE

  • Full-Time hourly direct care staff may be eligible for up to $250 per month paid directly to their student loan vendor. Ask your recruiter for details.

What you will do:

The flexible, respectful individual we see is an innovative and quick thinker with these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required,

  • Three or more years of experience supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities

  • Two or more years of supervisory experience

  • Ability to complete CPR/First Aid, Level 1 Medication Aide Training, and Mandt -provided by St. Louis Arc at no cost.

  • Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
