Position Description

The Support Manager role will have a focus in one of three areas Front-End, Back-End, or Night Operations.

The Support Manager Front-End role is primarily responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and successfully implementing all non-selling operations in the front-end of the store (i.e., cashier and administrative functions), facilitating the store s ability to provide a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability. This includes overseeing the Administrative office, researching shortages or overages, depositing cash in the bank, handling register pulls and loans, managing exchange and loaner accounts, and monitoring Customer Service desk activity.

The Support Manager Back-End and Support Manager Night Operations roles are primarily responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and successfully implementing all non-selling operations in the back-end of the store (during the overnight shift or the Night Ops role), facilitating the store s ability to provide a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability. This includes leading a team responsible for critical support processes including receiving and stocking inventory, assembling product, and delivery. In addition, the individual in this role delivers training to associates, manages performance, and creates schedules for the team to ensure adequate department coverage at all times.

To be successful, the Support Manager must collaborate and communicate with his/her peers on the leadership team to ensure that critical information is being shared and to determine the most effective methods for meeting service objectives and customer needs.

Job Requirements

Morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week;

Late evening, night-time, and early morning availability any day of the week (for Night Ops role)

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise;

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma and 3 years of retail store experience OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment

Experience managing project teams (with or without direct report responsibility)

Experience working cross-functionally

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in customer service role

Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic retail environment

Experience in a leadership role with direct report responsibility

Experience using store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling)

VIEW JOBS 8/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-11-12T00:00 ROLE SUMMARY As a member of the Gene and Cell therapy Technical Support Team located in Sanford, NC, the Downstream Process Engineer is technical process owner of assigned Downstream unit operations and serves as a scientific and technical representative for process and equipment related projects. During the initial phase this role will focus on supporting the Gene Therapy facility start-up, process transfers and process validation. Following execution of process validation the scope of work will include process performance monitoring, support for change controls and deviations as well as identification of process improvements. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides on the floor technical support for the downstream process operations * Designs technical and engineering studies, writes technical reports summarizing study results and generates necessary data to support change impact assessments during process transfers and investigations. * Authors process and equipment descriptions, process flow diagrams and risks assessments. * Supports change management and implementation for changes to the manufacturing processes and associated systems. Owns change controls related to process changes. * Identifies potential process improvements projects. Leads implementation of process improvements projects and supports compliance driven projects that require technical support. * Supports process transfers the Sanford Gene Therapy facility. * Authors and contributes to the Downstream process validation plans, protocols and reports. * Benchmark and monitor process performance using statistical tools * Role model OWNIT! behaviors QUALIFICATIONS * MS or BSc degree in Bioprocessing, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline is required. * For MS degree- minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Downstream Development/Processing in biopharmaceutical industry; for BSC degree- minimum of 5 years of experience in Downstream Development/Processing is required * Downstream process development and/or process transfer experience is required * An in-depth knowledge of downstream unit operations: harvest, chromatography and filtration * Strong leadership, organizational planning and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledge, is required to work with multi-disciplinary teams. * Understanding of Quality by Design is desirable * GMP experience is preferred * Must be self-motivated and work with minimum direction * Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral) are required in order to interface across management levels and departments. * Ability to focus on specific production processes with great attention to details * Basic knowledge of Delta Vis a plus and statistical tools is a plus PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS * No unique physical requirements Mental: * Remains organized &; positive in ambiguous and fast-paced, rapidly changing environment * Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure and in ambiguous situations * Ability to process complex information and make recommendations with incomplete data set NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Ability to adjust work schedule to meet business needs – overtime, off shift, weekends.
