As a Support Lead, you will:

  • Formulate and execute plan for recurring issues and incidents

  • Identify root cause and resolve highly complex issues/incidents

  • Monitor the testing and troubleshooting functionality of installed systems

  • Mentor team on technical and process competencies

  • Implement Go Live activities and manage issues related to functionalities, user interface, and performance

  • Liaise with clients to prepare/share reports

  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, elimination of manual support activities, and system processes

  • Lead creation of collective knowledge base on process, domain and technology in the project

  • Respond to escalated incidents from the team and ensure that those are resolved as per SLAs

  • Monitor jobs as part of the 24x7 rotation in distributed support model

  • Participate in requirements gathering, build, deployment, and release activities per project requirements.

Location for this position is New York, NY. This position may require some travel and/or relocation.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 4 Years of experience in Information Technology

Preferred:

  • At least 4 years of Working knowledge of Unix and any one of the Shell scripting such as Unix, Python, Pearl, Scheduling such as Autosys, Win Scheduler etc.

  • Knowledge of any OOPS programing language like Java or .Net or Web-Services is prefered

  • Experience in Production Support with exposure to Financials Domain is a plus

  • Big Data Experience: Hadoop is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience working with geographically distributed team

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

S/he acts as a support operation, technical and process management resource for complex issues. 2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides technical or process planning, training and guidance to clients * Supports clients on technical issues, process issues and delivery; monitors questions and resolves problems * Escalates customer service issues and other systems anomalies to Technical Support and Support Management to ensure a swift solution * Participates in beta programs as appropriate * Drives operations metrics to measure customer experience improvements * Develops streamlined processes and tools improvements; Simplify complex processes * Engages and manages global process to achieve a high level of efficiency and effectiveness Leads and mentors Customer Support Engineering team: design and implement team service delivery processes and/or projects * Develops and delivers content training and provides coaching for service delivery * Performs researches, acquires information, writes technical content for products * For individuals assigned to on-site locations, serves as primary on-site contact to MorphoTrak offices * Makes decision for proper support procedures when system problems arise * Commit to the Quality Principles of "Customer First, Do it Right the First Time, and I own Quality" 3. SUPERVISION REQUIRED The Customer Support Engineer Lead works under limited supervision on all assigned projects. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The person in this position does not supervise other employees but will lead projects and teams.
