Job Description:

The Support Engineer, Robotics Technical Services drives the delivery of direct support to all internal / external customers utilizing the network system environment. This is a terrific opportunity to assist in the design support processes that can scale to meet the needs of our rapidly growing business. The Support Engineer, Robotics Technical Services will collaborate with Research and Development to define troubleshooting protocols and issue resolution sequences. Coordination of support amongst multiple vendors and internal teams to resolve complex system failure scenarios is a major component of this role. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide phone and email support to customers to establish initial response of service incidents and single point of contact

  • Troubleshoot reported system failures according to defined process to correctly identify root cause

  • Clearly identify cross functional dependencies between teams to ensure execution alignment of troubleshooting, analysis and incident resolution

  • Liaison between R&D and vendors when necessary for escalated incidents

  • Monitor service level agreements amongst vendors to ensure compliance with established standards

  • Develop and execute support processes as new technology is released to ensure alignment of technical services and network system capabilities

  • Schedule and lead vendor meetings between vendor's technical resources and internal teams when necessary

What you need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering or related Engineering degree

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in information technology

  • Experience with Internet Of Things (IOT) architecture and cloud-based applications

  • Experience facilitating collaboration amongst multi-disciplinary teams to drive complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution

  • Experience with ITIL Service Delivery basic concepts (highly preferred)

  • Experience developing technical support process flows

  • Fluent with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Visio

Contact us today! RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Software Manager, you will provide leadership, technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software and control system engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software solutions and control algorithm implementations and maintain existing products and applications. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately ten software and robotics control systems engineers and is responsible for the performance management, talent development, and work processes of the group. REQUIREMENTS: As a Software Manager, you must be an engaging, strategic, and proactive leader with the ability to lead and guide teams in a positive and collaborative manner. You should combine solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with superb conflict and influence-management abilities. It is also vital that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and influence clients, team members, management, and external groups at all levels of expertise. Specific qualification for this role include: * B.S. degree in Computer Science, in a similar technical field of study; Masters or Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management and/or Software Engineering , preferred. * 5+ years of software development experience and knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle. * 3+ years of experience managing software engineering team. * Passion for people management and mentorship. * Experience operating in cross-functional, multi-site development, and global environment. * Fluent communication skills in verbal and written English. * Experience and knowledge of controls and/or robotics is preferred. * Class II/III medical device experience or other regulated industries is preferred.
