Provides technical expertise in the management and problem resolution of external client networks in a multi-vendor converged infrastructure environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required
Assists customers with technical solutions. Provides hardware and limited software support across multiple supplier/product lines converged solutions, specific focus on server, storage and networking for HPE and EMC.
Any certifications related to HPE, Data Domain and Avamar are beneficial.
Provides resolution of all technical and process related issues, using appropriate escalation points when necessary.
Reviews and consults with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problems, evaluate operational and performance requirements.
Reviews and consults with customers concerning design, development and maintenance of products/services.
Communicates complex information and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to target audiences.
Participates in products, solutions or services training to maintain technical knowledge, active certification and competence.
May assist in determining the feasibility of proposal, conferring with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problem.
Support Tech Data related projects.

4 or more years of experience with remote access networking.
Strong technical understanding of smart devices (iPhone, Androids, iPads.)
Strong understanding of network access methods, wireless connections, 802.1x protocols, and mobile device technology
Experience working with an Active Directory Windows server environment with Windows laptops
Strong understanding of networking principles and components including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, RADIUS, routers, switches and firewalls.
The ability to learn new software and technologies (both iPass and 3rd party) quickly and efficiently.
Moderate skills with Unix operating environments.
Strong understanding of VPN and other internet security technology.
Experience with SQL beneficial.
Experience with SDK app development and troubleshooting beneficial.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with spreadsheet manipulation and analysis.

Typically 3-5 years with bachelor's or equivalent or 1-3 years with master's Education and Certification(s):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
One or more of the following certifications: VCP5, Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Support Specialist, CCNP, Hitachi Certified Professional Hitachi Certified Implementer, Cisco Data Centre Unified Computing Design Specialist, Network+, Server+, NAIP, NCDA, NCIE, HP-AIS, -ASE or MASE Travel for training and client support typically 10 - 20%
