Our full suite of sales process tools includes sales automation, incentive management, Configure Price, Quote (CPQ), coaching and sales enablement. To help support our Global growth, we are seeking a Support Engineer - Application Ops to join our growing Customer Support team at our location in Birmingham AL!
Provide operational support and manage J2EE applications (RHEL, Tomcat and Oracle).
Automate Operational activities using scripting languages like Shell, PHP, Java Scripts etc.
Automate Operational activities using tools like Jenkins and other similar tools.
Provide email assistance to customers, consultants and partners on the operational side of Callidus products.
Research, analyze and troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
Proactively communicate client status, concerns, and issues to appropriate management team.
Update call tracking system to provide accurate and current documentation of issues.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or STEM courses; Master's Degree a plus
Minimum of 5 years' experience
Experience with UNIX and Linux is required (Redhat preferred).
Experience with tomcat and J2EE platform is required.
Experience with more than one of the scripting languages like Shell, PHP and Java Script is required.
Previous operational experience to cloud platform(s) like AWS, Azure, Rackspace or even private clouds is required.
Good understanding of how J2EE applications work with Webservers etc.
Good understanding of SSL and SAML 2.0 is a plus.
Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle 11i)
Good understanding of SQL and stored procedures.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
Exposure to NodeJS
Exposure to monitoring tools like Nagios, Sensu or others
Experience with Linux and windows-based web servers and applications
Experience on Jenkins & Ansible
