Administered by Granite United Way, the mission of the NH Governor's Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) initiative is to help businesses develop "recovery-friendly" workplace cultures and promote health, safety, and wellness for New Hampshire employers and employees. These work environments further the mental and physical well-being of employees, proactively preventing substance misuse and supporting recovery from substance use disorder (SUD). This initiative also provides support for those who have loved ones with SUD.

POSTION SUMMARY:

The RFW Support Coordinator will work with and support the RFW team through the following: providing project management, administrative, and logistical support around diverse RFW projects, implementing marketing and communication efforts, and managing RFW's online platforms (including a learning management platform). This role will require diverse tasks that may evolve/pivot in light of program needs. Some examples of tasks include the following: supporting RFW trainings, helping compile RFW program data for quarterly reports, writing an RFW newsletter, and supporting interested workplaces in accessing RFW's online trainings. This position will report to the RFW Program Director, but also work closely with the Assistant Director, Recovery Friendly Advisors (RFAs), and possibly subcontractors. This is a highly needed and valued position that will help advance the initiative's strategic goals and priorities, while helping ensure that the program maintains quality standards. This position requires high attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines. Effective communication skills and an ability to work as part of a dynamic team are also needed. Being a self-starter is helpful, but so is knowing when to ask questions/seek guidance. Creativity while also being able to uphold brand standards/voice is also needed. Overall, this is a role that involves a diverse set of skills, spanning administration, data management, marketing/communications, light website maintenance, an ability to learn and support existing systems/tech-based tools, and more. Beyond helping the program meet existing requirements/standards, this role will also welcome innovative contributions that help evolve program processes and offerings with the goal of best supporting participating workplaces and keeping NH positioned as a leader in this space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):

The RFW Support Coordinator supports the following scope of services to meet grant requirements and deliverables, spanning three major areas:

Project Management, Administrative, & Logistical Support

  • Support quality data collection and reporting, especially through helping manage and perform QA on internal tracking system.

  • Provide backend support for RFW trainings, such as creating and tracking registrations, setting up Zooms, sending reminder emails, taking attendance, sending evals, and creating summary sheets.

  • Support RFW with delivering/mailing supplies (and any associated tracking), such as print materials or Narcan.

  • Monitor requests that come in through info@ email.

  • Create/clean up internal distribution lists.

  • Support management/organization of Google Drive and other organizational systems

  • Support with calendars and scheduling as time permits

  • Support with aggregating data and narrative updates for reporting as time permits

  • Support with preparing Advisory Council materials as time permits; takes minutes at Advisory Council meetings.

  • Other administrative duties may arise depending on team needs/priorities; will work with the Program Director to prioritize focus areas if needed.

Marketing/Communications

  • Create and implement a strategic marketing plan with associated goals and tracking system.

  • Help create and post RFW content across array of social media platforms; may involve using a tool like Hootsuite to streamline.

  • Responds to inquiries that come through Fb Messenger and other platforms or helps direct them to the appropriate person.

  • Interface with GUW marketing to leverage synergies and promote alignment.

  • Works with other subcontractors/marketing vendors as needed to support development/expansion of RFW website, marketing campaigns, and new assets.

  • Organizes, monitors, and orders marketing assets as needed.

  • Monitoring, organize, and order RFW assets as needed.

  • Help with light website maintenance/updating, primarily around posting/removing logos, adding in articles and events, etc.; communicate any more extensive needs to Program Director/website vendor as needed.

  • Assist with asset/flyer development; creative input on additional assets for RFW to develop is welcome.

  • Support the creation and distribution of a quarterly RFW newsletter.

  • Works with Program Director and Assistant Director to pull together/submit content to GUW marketing, the State, for reports, etc.

  • Other marketing/coms duties may arise depending on team needs/priorities; will work with Program Director to prioritize focus areas if needed.

Community Support

  • Supports the backend management of RFW's community (Higher Logic) and learning management (Elevate) platforms.

  • Completes onboarding to these platforms, such as watching videos, reading informational guides, and working with subcontractors.

  • Helps upload users to these platforms and with troubleshooting as necessary.

  • Further develops platforms (working with subcontractors as needed) and communicates with end-users to increase user adoption and value-add.

  • Other duties/priorities may arise in this space; can work with Program Director to prioritize areas of focus as needed.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited institute of higher education, with major study in public health, human services, human resources, business administration, marketing/communications, social sciences, or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • Two years of experience in a business or nonprofit setting providing administrative, marketing/communications, project coordination, or related services, one year of which shall be in a substance misuse prevention, treatment, or recovery setting.

  • Familiarity with or ability to learn various tech-based/organizational platforms, such as Google Drive, Hootsuite, Canva, Higher Logic, Elevate, website platform, and potentially others.

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and coms strategies, with ability to create content and additional assets as needed.

  • Familiarity with data entry, cleaning, tracking, etc.

  • Excellent writing and organizational skills

  • Ability to customize strategy/messaging based on audience.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to help develop and execute larger strategies around process refinement, marketing/coms efforts, etc. that contribute to overall program development.

  • Ability to support project management/reporting as needed.

  • Knowledge of the prevention, treatment, and recovery space, as well as related resources

  • Knowledge of workplace wellness strategies and/or human resources

  • Knowledge of basic business administration and operations

  • Ability to prioritize workplan activities, be flexible, and evolve to meet program needs.

  • Ability to work well independently and also as part of a dynamic team, which may include Granite United Way marketing, RFW Program Director and/or Assistant Director, Recovery Friendly Advisors, subcontractors, and others.

  • Highly motivated self-starter who is also able to proactively ask questions and seek out guidance as needed.

  • Contributes to a culture of psychological safety and wellness among RFW team.

ENVIRONMENT:

Hybrid work environment. This position is based in Concord, NH in a general office environment that is clean, well-lighted, environmentally comfortable, free of fumes or airborne particles, and only minimally exposes employees to office solvents limited to those relative to copier equipment.

This position requires the ability to:

  • Minimal requirement to reach at or above shoulder level; occasional reaching below shoulder level required.

  • Hand manipulation - equipment and controls, frequent; grasping and handling, occasional.

  • Ability to periodically travel within the state required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include occasional nights and weekends.

  • Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting and/or standing and to lift to approximately 50 pounds to waist high level whenever necessary.

  • Mobility includes regular sitting, some standing and walking.
