About the Role
The Content Writer is responsible for researching and producing content as assigned by the Managing Editor. The primary responsibilities for this role include understanding incoming briefs and requests, produce early drafts of proposed content, use editor notes and guidance to improve drafts, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure drafts meet their needs.
This role sits with our Content & Project Management team, which is home to technical writing, project and change management, and content strategy. We document and orchestrate work performed across teams to ensure we're communicating clearly, consistently, and in compliance with industry regulations. We pride ourselves on providing quality content to support both our internal teams as well as our members.
As a Support Content Writer, you will craft the best possible content that increases our members' self-service rate, improves first-time resolution, and reduces contacts. You'll partner across the organization to write, update, and maintain member-facing content that reflects product changes and the latest member experiences. Writing multi-channel content that's compassionate, friendly, and down to earth, you'll help our members understand our platform and quickly find the answers they need.
What You'll Do
Schedule project kick-off meetings with content requesters as needed
Write initial drafts of content and subsequent revisions, as necessary
Use internal documentation to research and ensure correct information is communicated in drafts
Utilize notes from Managing Editor to improve and evolve drafts
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure drafts meet their requirements
Handoff final draft for the approval process
Demonstrated ability in English writing
Ability to produce content quickly and on deadline
Solid organizational, communication, and people skills
Willingness to make edits and improve writing craft
Eagerness to support customers and their experience
Bachelor's degree in an associated field is preferred not required
