The Support Associate is responsible for performing various functions that support the sales operations of the stores including, POS transactions, merchandise handling, stock processing, and stockroom organization. Receives, stores, and replenishes sales floor merchandise and stocks merchandise. May periodically work sales floor.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Performs various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases, processing of cash or credit payments and counting money.
2.Maintains an awareness of customers to both increase service levels and reduce security risks; remains current on policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
3.Participates in pricing changes and mark-downs; presents merchandise according to pricing and visual standards and direction.
4.Greets and assists customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner; resolves customer questions/concerns to their satisfaction. Resolve customer questions/concerns to their satisfaction; keeps abreast of guiding principles and POS system changes.
5.Processes freight ensuring items are properly stored, ticketed and easily located for replenishment for the sales floor, reorganizes merchandise as needed to maximize stock space.
6.Ensures new products are properly merchandised and represented in a timely manner.
7.Correctly enters all receiving documents into the computer system, reconciles merchandise invoices to items received as applicable. Accurately and timely completes store-to-store transfers and Locate requests.
8.Ensures the visual packet materials, props and signage are received and processed in a timely manner, properly stores stockroom hardware, hangers, sign holders, etc.
9.Other duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Must be 18 years of age or older
2.High school diploma or equivalent
3.Previous stock or cashier experience preferred
4.Excellent communication skills
5.Excellent customer service skills
6.Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
7.Must be able to work the majority of the shift standing
8.Ability to work quickly and within strict timelines
9.Ability to demonstrate teamwork
10. Exposure to visual merchandising and product placement techniques desired
11. Communicate with customers, Associates, and Management; wear / communicate with headset; stand and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom; operate register; lift and carry 30 pounds; hang / fold merchandise; climb, reach, push / pull, and clean
12. Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Laboratory Instrument Services * Planning & Scheduling * Evaluate and make revision recommendations as appropriate on the instrument test points for all existing and new CAT (Critical Asset Team) forms associated with manufacturing and analytical equipment. * Create preventive maintenance plans using customer's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) application after input from the equipment owner and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Ensure all equipment is entered correctly in the CMMS system with the correct PM schedule. Additionally, meet with the customer to review maintenance plans and recommend program improvements where appropriate and required. * Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness using customer's CMMS application. * Perform maintenance planning and scheduling activities for manufacturing and analytical equipment assets using customer's CMMS application. This is to include all daily and look-ahead scheduling activities for both preventive and corrective/repair maintenance activities. This is to include scheduling all repairs with outside vendors and the customer including acquiring quotes, ensuring POs are generated and the work is completed and documented correctly. * Provide coordination of vendors providing calibration and repair services. * Schedule and plan equipment specific service ensuring alignment with production and research activities and/or schedules. Ensure work area(s) is restored to as-found condition and escort service vendors to work area(s) as required and directed by customer. Provide service quote support management * Asset Life Cycle Management * Provide support associated with the addition of new equipment assets using customer's CMMS application following established procedures and processes. * Ensure the approved instrument installation location is ready for the installation of new equipment (i.e. laboratory casework and bench space, utilities, etc.) * Coordinate the installation and set-up of new equipment with the asset owner and appropriate vendors. * Place asset tagging on new equipment for inventory purposes and identification in customer's CMMS application. * Provide required information to maintain the accuracy and disposition of equipment as it relates to customer's FAR (Fixed Asset Registry). * Track equipment moves within the facility and to/from off-site storage to ensure the accuracy of customer's CMMS application and customer's FAR. * Provide support associated with the removal and discontinued use of equipment assets using customer's CMMS application following established procedures and processes. This is to include all elements of equipment removal and/or disposal/sale to ensure the accuracy of customer's FAR. * Oversee Thermo Fisher Scientific and non-Thermo Fisher Scientific site instruments/assets in Thermo Resource Center. * Liaison between customer colleagues and Thermo Fisher Scientific engineers and management. * Quality and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) * Ensure all GMP equipment is calibrated and maintained as required. * Support internal and external audit activities as required. * Provide oversight and support of third party GMP vendors/service providers ensuring compliance with customer's standard procedures. * Facility Operations Support * Provide support as required for small operational and capital projects. * Provide input for Business Continuity Planning efforts. Support operational risk assessments as needed/require EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  * Experience working in a pharmaceutical or laboratory setting preferred. * Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline heavily preferred (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) * Experience working with typical pharmaceutical R&D lab assets preferred including but not limited to HPLC, GC, Mass Spec, Plate Readers, Plate Washers, PCR, Particle Counters, Centrifuges, Incubators, Spectrophotometers, etc. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS * Understanding of Pharmaceutical R&D operations. * Proficient in using computer applications inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  * Experience using a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) such as EAMS. * Experience in managing assets in a CMMS system such as EAMS is a plus. PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS  * Sitting for prolonged periods working at computer station. * Lifting and moving of some small lab equipment (less than 50 pounds) * Able to walk considerable distances on any given day. * Some travel will be required between the Morrisville NC site and Chapel Hill NC site.   LOCATION This position will be based on-site at a customer location in Morrisville, NC.
