About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement for Supply Technician (Motor Vehicle Operator) in several locations. Initial cutoff will be 28 February, 2018. Recruitment will continue through the announcement closing date to fill positions as they become vacant.

  • May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement (HAZMAT).

  • May be required to serve as Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), if selected to perform these duties, Command will ensure incumbent completes and maintains training certification.

  • Completion of a Unit Armor Course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.

  • Completion of Contracting Officer's Representative course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.

  • Moderate lifting of 50 pounds or more is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience at the GS-05 level is defined as: Receipt and storage of supply items, conducting inventories, maintaining physical

security of small arms and ammunition, prepare reports to document supply transactions. All other candidates must possess one year of

specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-06. Specialized experience at the GS-06 level is defined as: Experience with a

governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the unique requirements to plan and execute a supply

program.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Education

graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform all general maintenance, construction and electrical duties as directed to keep equipment and the physical plant in good condition and repair.
