The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division (NUWCDIVKPT) Detachment Pacific (Code 04/TDC) functions as NUWC's forward presence in the Middle Pacific, Guam, and Western Pacific (WESTPAC) providing Detachment/Site Management in accordance with the Commanding Officer's (CO) letter of delegated authority to provide for program management, planning, policy, and execution of assigned programs and facility operations at the Detachment; monitor Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), physical and information security, personnel administration, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and professional development and morale, environmental compliance, appropriate interaction with all levels of Government and public affairs functions, site and area coordination for emergency preparedness, facilities management and space utilization, site material readiness, proper use of Government equipment and proper expenditure of funds, and adherence to good management practices and controls; manage the Detachment/On-Site Office (OSO); perform Navy programs duties under authority; manage military personnel allowance in accordance with Navy regulations, including Article 15 authority (non-judicial punishment); and serve as the Command's representative to the local installation CO or facility host in negotiating for utilities, security services, and facility maintenance. Divisions supported within this task are Hawaii Fleet Test and Operational Assessment Division (Code 24), Pearl Harbor Torpedo Division (Code 34), and Fleet Technical Support Division (Code 45).

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Supply Technician will support the Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) program in Kauai and Guam on the Hawaii Detachments Support Services contract. They will be the main point of contact for the Government Team for Supply and Logistics requirements. They will provide logistics, material management, administrative, and data management (ERP) support for the underwater vehicles and equipment at the Kauai operating site. This position is located in Kekaha, HI.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory. Identifying items requiring replenishment prior to depletion and provide item information to the task lead.

  • Coordinate supply requisitions, conduct market research (i.e., FEDMALL, MILSTRIP, commercial, internet, etc.) and provide pertinent information to Government representative to enter into Navy ERP.

  • Log and distribute parts and material from shippers or other naval supply system personnel in accordance with established procedures.

  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, personal protective equipment, spare part and consumable inventories and notify the task lead when inventories require replenishment by performing supply research and compiling documentation to support procurement.

  • Maintain tracking of equipment in the Government calibration recall system and provide a quarterly summary in accordance with established procedures.

  • Maintain an inventory of all handling equipment, track in a Government database, and notify Government lead at least one month in advance when handling equipment will be due for inspection or weight test.

  • Support vehicle offload and pick up from surface crafts, aircraft, or trucks and provide operational material and supplies storeroom support which include ordering, receiving, inspection, tagging, labeling, inventorying, transporting, shipping and issuing of vehicle parts, hazmat and consumables in accordance with established processes and procedures.

  • Bid and proposal support if requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.

  • HS Diploma required.

  • Ability to be trained and certified in forklift and other weight handling equipment.

  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Must possess strong time management skills.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of retail, warehouse, and/or store room experience.

  • Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidance and/or an understanding of the needs of the organization's service.

  • Experience operating forklift and other material handling equipment.

The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
