Supply Technician 2 - Minimum Qualifications Waived

The Position

Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets to include, but not limited to, the following: property, equipment, services, food, forms, parts and supplies. Incumbents work in a warehouse, stockroom or office setting and prepare and process documents for the requisition, purchase, receipt, issuance and transfer of goods; expedite the flow of goods from vendor to user; and maintain control records for a variety of property and equipment.

Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.

The position is located at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home, a 24-hour skilled nursing facility located in in Boulder City, Nevada. The Supply Technician 2 at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home operates as the lead in the Central Supply warehouse.

Duties include ordering & receiving supplies, materials, and equipment using State approved requisitions and purchase orders as well as the maintenance of inventory materials & records. Duties include researching pricing of items requisitioned by staff to assure the effective pricing of all items, handling/operating equipment such as a pallet jack and dolly to receive, move, rotate and issue parts, supplies, equipment and materials.
