Summary/General Description of Job:

  • The incumbent works under the general direction of the Jacobs Business Manager, to perform a variety of company supply functions from receipt through disposition. The incumbent shall also develop and implement processes to ensure full compliance with site specific regulations for reporting and recording keeping. Supervises and provides guidance to supply operations. Resolves personnel problems, interviews potential employees, evaluates personnel performance, complies with company-wide safety program to maintain an accident-free environment and reviews departmental operations and recommends changes to management.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

The following summarizes duties which are coordinated with the Business Manager. These duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervises stockroom functions.

  • Coordinates disposal of excesses, replenishment of stock levels and processing of turnins

  • Operates a supply support function including staging, delivering, requisitioning and expediting service

  • Monitors internal controls to ensure integrity of item records and supporting documentation for inventory/stock control

  • Maintains adequate locator system on government property coming into WS BOS possession

  • Supervises supply operations and establishes stock controls

  • Tracks government property coming into WS BOS possession

  • Receipt and tracking of government and contractorowned property

  • Maintains supporting files to ensure property control and accountability

  • Plans, directs, and supervises Material Management operations to include oversight of purchases of materials, supplies and services on approved requisitions.

  • Monitors price quotes, negotiations and administration of contracts/purchase orders with necessary price/cost analysis

  • Monitors purchase of approved equipment items including any modification, fabrication, or installation required

  • Conducts vendor capability surveys

  • Generates vendor performance record and rating system and cost history program

  • Ensures proper maintenance of purchase order files

  • Effects follow up action to ensure timely and correct receipt of purchased items

  • Approves all purchasing transactions, advising higher management of problems

  • Forecast resource requirements and submits budget recommendations to management

  • Prepares reports for management review

  • Promotes quality and customer service

  • Displaying discretion in protecting Jacobs propriety information and controlled unclassified information.

  • Complying with established procedures and FAR/DFARS.

  • Prioritization and completion of assigned projects in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner.

  • Excellent communication skills in the English language in order to provide clear and concise instruction, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent leadership, management, organizational, and supervision skills.

  • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations, conflict resolution

  • Adherence to established Jacobs Technology, Inc. safety.

  • Harmoniously working with other employees and customers.

  • Skilled in the use of MS Word and Excel at the intermediate or higher level.

  • Exercising independent judgement and handling of confidential information.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, and five (5) years' experience working with government contracts.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain management may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.

  • One (1) year experience directing the work of others or acting as a Lead in a procurement discipline.

  • Familiar with Government Contracting to include FARS/DFARS

  • Fuel management computer proficiency a must be skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel and Access at the intermediate or higher.

  • Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.

  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required

  • U.S. Citizenship


  • Two (2) years' direct supervision over two (2) or more personnel.

  • Contracting certification.

  • Fuel management system computer proficiency.

  • NCMA certification

Facilitate integration of Personal Training products into point of sale presentations to maximize the number of orientation sessions scheduled and packages sold. Ensure Personal Training team follows proper procedures in session redemption. Oversee PT manager in ensuring all components of departmental objectives are satisfied. Operations Coordinate and work within club support functions of Fitness, Sales and Marketing, Accounting, Information Technology. Track completion of opening/closing checklists, stage management, repair & maintenance log, locker log and cleaning checklist. Assist in the processing/submission and approval of payroll. Financial Exhibit an understanding of budgets and income statements. Establish controls of expenses and purchasing of club supplies. Display an ability to keep expenses at or below budget.
