Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing the life cycle of complex online marketing research projects for both major and high-growth potential external clients. They are accountable for the success of each project.

Project Specialists will coordinate with internal departments in order to complete the projects on time and within budget while maintaining strict quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Project Specialists have ongoing tracking survey responsibilities in addition to custom projects; responsibilities include change cycles, sampling (daily/weekly/monthly), reporting, billing and cross team communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement all online surveys for internal clients; consulting with them on survey design, sampling, field monitoring, quality control and data delivery.

  • Ensures projects are completed on time; meeting/exceeding expectations.

  • Continually monitors project progress, troubleshooting issues and identifying and implementing realistic and cost effect solutions.

  • Escalates and addresses potential issues and challenges in a timely manner.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with the client, colleagues and cross-functional peers during the entire project process. Demonstrate understanding and insight of business issues.

  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Acts as a liaison between internal clients and all stakeholder groups.

  • Foster and maintain close working relationships with NPD personnel and offshore programming team in order to execute and monitor projects as well as resolve any issues that may arise while a project is in the field.

  • Learn internal project management tools; setup projects and manages, executes and monitors sample against study requirements on a daily basis.

  • This position will also be responsible for running feasibility and costs, if required, and determining timing for all projects they are responsible for.

  • All standard weekly tracker work is executed flawlessly and on schedule

  • Reviews and approves all survey cost inputs for billing to external departments.


  • 1-3 year's professional experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, degree in Marketing preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  • Solid project management skills with the demonstrated ability to multi-task across a variety of projects

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Effective communicator (written, verbal)

  • Strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work well on a team as well as independently

  • Market research background a plus

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-16T00:00 <p>The Accounts Receivables Specialist is responsible for setting up new accounts in their assigned region, establishing and re-evaluating customer credit limits, daily collection activities of accounts receivables including reconciling accounts, charge backs and interacting with customers for WAC Lighting.</p> <p>Critical Success Factors:</p> <ul> <li>Handle all functions related to Accounts Receivables including setting up new accounts in assigned region</li> <li>Release orders pursuant to a review and on outstanding account issues</li> <li>Resolve lock box exceptions</li> <li>Review and evaluate credit limits for existing customers and provide recommendations</li> <li>Special projects to help streamline processes including automation &amp; modifying procedures</li> </ul><p>Objectives:</p><ul> <li>Responsible for the Accounts Receivables function for WAC lighting. Managing collections through the customer, sales representative and or vendors. This includes maintaining current accurate customer records on the SAP Operating System by documenting account activity, promptly and accurately reviewing payments received, applying deposits and credits to outstanding balances.</li> <li>Escalate any overdue receivables for additional collection efforts. Assist as necessary in collections.</li> </ul><ul><li>Reconcile customer accounts with attention to discounts, deductions and short payments. Work with the Customer, Account Managers and Sales Representative to resolve discrepancies.</li></ul><ul><li>Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers.</li></ul><ul><li>Review the status of outstanding accounts. Handle collections by contacting customers for delinquent and over credit limit accounts. When necessary, write collection and service correspondence and follow up to receive outstanding payments due. May work closely with appropriate Sales Rep to facilitate collection action.</li></ul><ul><li>Analyze held orders and determine if orders are to be released. Release orders and approve shipments based on a careful review of past due or credit issues and differentiating between credit and sales worthy accounts. Follow up with appropriate Sales Rep on orders that are not released. Establish and maintain account files and ensure all account terms are current and accurate. Handle requests for special handling for overseas customers.</li></ul><ul><li>Responds to credit inquiries from other vendors on existing customers. Initiates and processes credit limits for existing and new customers, which includes bank, trade references and financial statements.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain files on short paid invoices by investigating, reporting on and resolving outstanding issues with each customer. Work closely with Returns Department to verify returns and update invoice files. Work closely with Sales Department to understand and document discounts or discrepancies.</li></ul><ul><li>Report and analyze monthly DSO, credit reviews, payment trends and problem accounts to management</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Requirements:<br></p> <ul> <li>College Degree or related accounts receivables / collections experience a must</li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Effective analytical capabilities, attention to detail</li> <li>PC literate with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
