Description

Provide thorough analysis of spare parts and accessories production plans and accurate management of US inventory requirements.

Accountabilities

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES

Support overall supply planning process for US consumer and commercial businesses.

  • Submit weekly/monthly demand plans by SKU by warehouse to production planning team in Malaysia

  • Liaise with Malaysian manufacturing team and third-party ocean carrier to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product into US

  • Work with Demand Planning team to maintain appropriate levels of inventory in third-party warehouses to meet 12-month rolling demand plan and to achieve corporate stock objectives

  • Assist local marketing and sales teams with planning for new product launches and exclusive skus

  • Communicate with Malaysian manufacturing team on a bi-monthly conference call to ensure production plans meet demand plan

Analyze domestic supply chain product flow movements and manage requests made from group inventory compliance.

  • Report monthly inventory projections by sku to monitor investment in working capital

  • Drive profitability by minimizing product obsolescence

  • Ensure correct inventory locations/timing to meet customer requirements

  • Divert containers, team trucking, warehouse stock transfers

Manage allocation process for items with capacity constraints

  • Identify and communicate potential capacity constraints to necessary parties

  • Update demand/supply sheets weekly

  • Prepare internal allocation report for key retailers to help maximize sales when inventory is low

  • Assist in managing customer orders

  • Work closely with Sales and Order Processing and Account Managers to analyze shipments vs. plan


Fulfill other duties as needed.

  • Invoice creations for international territories

  • Receipt alignment report

  • Process freight forwarder invoices and resolve discrepancies

  • Develop and recommend improvements to current operating procedures

  • Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Logistics preferred

  • 1+ years' experience in a supply chain role required, consumer goods organization experience preferred

  • Proven experience analyzing and resolving inventory related issues

  • SAP/APO experience strongly preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain (S&OP/IBP, planning, inventory) processes and systems

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with Southeast Asia Supply Planning l team

  • Advanced knowledge / proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to partner effectively with internal and external teams

  • High level of aptitude for business math, numerical reasoning, and creative problem solving

VIEW JOBS 11/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-19T00:00 The Associate Manager, North America Supply Planning Center of Excellence, has the responsibility to: * Develop and improve supply planning capabilities (people, process, tools) within the region * Partner with regional planning stakeholders to lead the implementation of globally defined policies, processes, and tools * Partner with process and system experts across functions to drive cross functional projects and optimization efforts * Identify areas for Supply Planning and Supply Chain improvement using experience and analytics including but limited to inventory policy, deployment, Root Cause Counter Measure, and Lean * Lead initiatives to optimize regional Supply Planning and Supply Chain processes and tools * Ensure efficiency and effectiveness and capture improvement opportunities within the supply planning processes. * Be the SAP Power user for the planning function within the North America organization to include supporting onboarding of SAP skills for Junior planners RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and improve supply planning capabilities (people, process, tools) within the region * Coach a team of Finished Good Planners, Material Planners, and Production Schedulers on best practices processes, policies, and tools * Educate and oversee a team of regional Subject Matter Experts (SME), responsible for coaching planners on key processes and tools based on global guidelines from Global COE * Collaborate with Supply Planning COE peers globally to share best practices (COE are located in Milan, Buenos Aires, Manilla, and Chicago) * Collaborate with Demand COE peers Globally on Demand & Supply balance * Facilitate the Global Community of Practice amongst the collective regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) team to leverage global learnings * Support the sustainability of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) by recommending backup & backfill plans to the Regional Management team * Create audit tools to identify adherence to aligned processes and policies * Ensure regional teams adhere to global tools/guidelines/processes and elevate variances to standard work as needed including optimal usage of SAP functionality * Identify, assess and implement supply planning process improvement opportunities, working closely with the Global Process owner and Regional Supply and Demand Planning Managers * Identify and implement associated technology improvements together with support provided by BPT * Leverage system functionalities to produce reports from the available systems to enhance decision making (as needed) Partner with regional planning stakeholders to lead the implementation of globally defined policies, processes, and tools * Lead the integration of supply planning with connected business processes (S&OP, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Procurement, etc.) for cross-functional processes * Serve as key participant in global supply planning initiatives, responsible for developing/ implementing global standard processes and policies * Drive improvements in the Step 3 and Control tower processes, in line with the Global S&OP maturity model Ensure efficiency and effectiveness and capture improvement opportunities within the supply planning processes * Conduct ongoing bench-marking of best-in-class practices in the market, including both SCJ practices across regions and peer practices * Define logic of master data accuracy and periodically audit the ongoing maintenance of master data DESIRED SKILL REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE Required Experience and Education: * University Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience * 3 plus years of SAP (ECC and APO) knowledge and experience Preferred Skills: * Experience in SAP implementations and/or effectively liaising with people in charge of configuring SAP, a plus. * Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration degree preferred * Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders * Ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization achieving win-win solutions through negotiation.
