Who you'll be working with:

  • Report to Sr. Manager, Global Supply Planning

  • Sales and Marketing teams

  • Our vendors who manufacture our flooring samples

How you'll contribute to the team:

  • Supply Planner jobs create detailed planning and scheduling of our vendors who manufacture and distribute our flooring samples to Armstrong Flooring customers.

  • Create monthly forecast, PSI (Production Scheduling Inventory) plans, and manage weekly schedules for our suppliers.

  • Manage and facilitate the new item entry process into SAP for Armstrong Flooring plant and vendor locations.

  • Ensure accurate set-up of material masters to meet supply chain planning requirements.

  • Ensure that all vendors have the right raw materials, labeling and packaging materials to support the timely creation of finished samples for new product launches and on-going loose piece and full line set business.

  • Issue RFQs and purchase orders.

  • Train vendors on SAP and required transactions to update their production, inventory and shipping records.

  • Determine safety stock levels at vendors for raw materials (rolls, cartons of tile) and finished stock (loose pieces, full line sets, etc.).

  • Achieve target fill rates for finished sample items.

  • Manage working capital levels for both in process and finished goods

  • Monitor daily vendor activities and address issues of inaccurate system transactions or other activities that may cause samples service issues.

  • Establish processes to minimize obsolete inventories of samples, labels and packaging materials as dictated by changes in the product line.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Supply Chain Management degree or related field; Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Ability and desire to take on new challenges and additional responsibilities

  • Proven strong work ethic, including an action- and results-oriented mindset

  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership with initiative and leadership skills

  • Proven analytical and teamwork abilities

  • Strong Math skills

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and concisely

  • 1+ years of planning/ supply chain experience preferably in a manufacturing setting

  • APICS certification

  • Formal process improvement training (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)

Supply Planner Salary: $59,000 - $80,000 based on experience
