The Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for planning and problem-solving? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Supply Planner. This role is integral to ensuring product availability that supports our customer service level targets. This role reports to the Supply Planning Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following;

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize Production: Generate time-phased production and sourcing schedules, ensuring a smooth flow of both ingredients and finished goods.

  • Manage Material Requirements: Perform MRP, balancing demand consumption, inventory levels, and lead times to maintain optimal stock levels.

  • Monitor Stock Levels: Regularly compare actual and projected stock levels against targets, initiating cross-functional actions to address any discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with Teams: Actively participate in regular meetings with Operations and S&OP, coordinating with Contract Manufacturing Materials Manager as needed.

  • Maintain System Data: Keep systems master data and planning parameters up-to-date, ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting.

  • Understand Product Pipeline: Regularly meet with Commercialization Manager, Product Managers, R&D, and QA to stay informed about the new product pipeline.

  • Report Performance: Issue weekly/monthly performance reports related to inventory, production attainment, and schedule adherence, identifying major variances to forecast.

  • Lead by Example: Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, participating in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, and providing leadership to others through knowledge sharing.

Skills you will bring to the team;

  • Educational and Professional Experience: Holds a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or possesses a minimum of three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Analytical Skills: Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Communication Skills: Able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Presentation Skills: Proficient in presenting information effectively to management.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Can interpret instructions furnished in various forms.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

  • Project Management: Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Mathematical Aptitude: Able to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
