The Inventory Coord 2 performs inventory management activities to ensure availability of supplies and equipment in all official perpetual and par inventory areas of assigned facilities. Implements inventory strategies to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.
Analyzes historical usage and other key performance data to optimize inventory levels. Enters all system changes to local item master files. Works closely with Supply Chain Coordinators to adjust par inventory levels in collaboration with Clinical Leadership.
Communicates with Buyers to ensure timely delivery of products. Collaborates with Resource Utilization team to identify suitable product substitutions to avoid stock outages. Addresses manufacturer recalls of products to ensure timely response.
Schedules and oversees quarterly cycle counts and annual/bi-annual physical inventory. Identifies opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and effectiveness and implements change. Ensures Joint Commission preparedness related to inventory management and storage at all times.
Responsible for all inventory aspects including; planning, managing, replenishment, auditing, reporting and training and education.
