Job Summary

We are seeking a Supply & Distribution Coordinator to support our farms. The position is located in Norwich, CT.

The Supply & Distribution Coordinator will receive inventory, distribute, reorder and ship products and supplies as necessary or instructed following company policy and/or procedure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order and store supplies for farms, packing & shipping and recycle crew in CT and NY.

  • Unload and load product and supplies using equipment such as hand trucks.

  • Receive and verify quantity, volume, and conditions of materials, and product against shipping/receiving documents and proper authorization. Notify and/or deliver to the specified person or department.

  • Receive, prioritize and respond to supply related inquiries and problems.

  • Identify and store materials and maintain system of inventory control/purchasing integration.

  • Deliver and ship materials and product and follow proper paper path procedures to identify and maintain perpetual storage inventory.

  • Process mail and FedEx/overnight courier shipments via online systems.

  • Order materials for irradiation and schedule the irradiation for all domestic Avian sites.

  • Provide internal liaison and distribution services to other facilities in support of site needs.

  • Assist with incubation tasks at the site, such as setting, candling and packing eggs as well as cleaning.

  • Track the maintenance of farm vehicles such as tractors, lawn mowers, egg vans and pickup trucks for CT farms.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The following are minimum requirements for the Supply & Distribution Coordinator position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent.

  • Four to six years related experience.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Job Description: * Transports all clean and contaminated case carts to and from the Operating Room and ancillary departments. * Delivers supplies hospital wide. * Applies aseptic techniques in daily work assignments. * Performs general cleaning of department surface areas, sterilization containers, racks, shelves, storage cabinets and all storage area. * Delints and folds surgical linen. * Communicate consistently with operating room staff * Manage overflow supply cart in operating room * Put away SPD stock in collaboration with SPD staff * Handle genesis containers including collection, disassembly, loading washer cart, re-assembly * Delivery and handling of TEE probes for echocardiography * Unload cart and instrument washers as needed Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: None. License and Certification: Complete Instrument Training within 18 months of promotion to CPD Tech and complete CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) within 36 months. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate degree Experience: Prior SPD experience, Medical terminology License and Certification: CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
