The Supply Chain Tech I is responsible for providing customer support by working as a team to manage the processes of distribution, and inventory of linen, supplies, equipment, carts, and trays. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.

Hours are 2:00pm-10:30pm rotating weekends and holidays part time 20 hours per week

Responsibilities and Qualifications
1.Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.2. Relays information to appropriate person to handle concerns and follows up on customer concerns to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.3. Uses supply chain software to implement processes for inventory management. This includes receiving, issuing, credit, and etc. 4. Uses supply chain software to requisition orders and investigate discrepancies to ensure appropriate steps are followed to correct them.5. Assists with projects for supply chain such as product conversions and cost reduction initiatives.6. Works with departments to provide them with appropriate.7. Assists with all other supply chain duties as required such as mail room and linens.

The Food Service Tech I performs a variety of duties which is dependent upon the area worked in the Nutrition Services department. Duties could include, but not limited to the following: storage and handling of food and supplies, cashier, patient tray and food preparation, delivering patient trays, documenting and monitoring temperatures, washing dishes/service ware, maintains cleanliness of all Nutrition Service areas. Must adhere to all safe food handling regulations. Responsibilities and Qualifications Is familiar with various menus used and knows the various supplies and food needed for each menu. Performs all the duties necessary in the preparation of meals to be served. Studies, understands and follows the diets as prepared by the Consulting Dietician.Always follows regulations regarding the proper techniques for food handling and storage.Assists supervisor in maintaining adequate inventory of food and supplies. Uses proper care with table service and equipment, checking for breakage, etc, prior to their being stored.Cleans work area, tables, chairs, cabinets and oven. Washes dishes as needed. Examines trays prior to being delivered to patients for completeness. Routinely practices cost effective techniques as needed. Seeks knowledge of cost of hospital resources. Accepts responsibility individually and collectively for the performance of the team and department. Volunteers to assist team members, changes schedule when asked by Supervisor, sets appropriate priorities and uses good time management skills. Overtime is kept to a minimum and must be approved by Supervisor.
