The Supply Chain Sr Manager role under minimal supervision will provide Supply Chain work group supervision and technical expertise in support of successfully completing daily operations within scope of responsibility. Ensures all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures. This role is crucial for Amgen's success and it will be a key contributor in Supply Chain department.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Identify and help prioritize opportunities across Amgen for establishing Best Practices in our Supply Chain Systems. This would include, but not be limited to the ERP systems, Decision Analysis/Support systems.
Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of an Amgen Supply Chain strategy and vision. Responsible for communicating that vision to all levels of the organization.
Identify, establish, lead, and/or support cross-functional project teams to implement system and process solutions to identified opportunities.
Develop and communicate detailed project plans for assigned or self-initiated projects. Includes estimates for manpower, and outside consulting expenses. Communicate budget requests to Sr. Management for approval. Monitor and report on project status against these plans.
Identify and implement performance measures that support achievement of Best Practices in our Supply Chain performance.
Provide reports and feedback to senior management defining the supply chain model and performance of Amgen's supply chain relative to industry best practices.
Maintain an expert knowledge of Amgen's Supply Chain systems and processes. This would include the ERP system, and related Decision Analysis/Support systems.
Identify areas that would benefit from Supply Chain education and/or training. When identified design, create, and implement a training program that would meet this need.
Ensure that all Supply Chain systems are in compliance with applicable regulations
Ensures materials are transported according to established performance standards and all applicable procedures and regulations.
Interacts with internal and external regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with cGMP, DOT, GDP, OSHA requirements.
Identify and oversee implementation of new and improved business and compliance systems and tools.
Partner with key internal customer groups and/or external suppliers to ensure successful operations and performance targets are achieved.
Responsible for business continuity programs for assigned areas.
Participate on global functional teams to coordinate and improve the transportation and Logistics of material movement and storage across the Amgen Supply Chain.
Provide and coordinate the development of business case scenarios that demonstrate the impact of current or proposed operations plans.
Distribution process oversight and audits to Amgen USA,
non-conformances, staff hiring and capabilities, staff training, all related to operations and dispensing of products to wholesalers.
Act as a back-up Designated Representative for all US states and comply with their corresponding requirements to ensure BCP is reliable and executable when an emergency comes at LDC.
Serve as Chief Pharmacist.
Assure public safety of patients according to the Pharmacy Law Regulation.
Assure that all payments to Department of Health are issued by Amgen.
The Pharmacist assure that the Puerto Rico's government permissions to operated are up to date. These permissions are the License for Biological Products and the License for Medication Distribution .
Assure that Amgen complies with all licenses and renovation according to local and federal laws.
Maintain up to date SARAFS platform for payments and renovation process was completed by the Pharmacy Department at SARAFS.
Doctorate degree in PharmD with current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority and 2 years of experience in GMP regulated environment
Master's degree and 4 years of experience in GMP regulated environment
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in GMP regulated environment
Educational background in PharmD
Facilitation and presentation skills

Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. Regularly conducts briefings to management. Liaison normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. External contacts are regular and generally involve coordinating operational issues
