We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist II for our site in Charleston, TN.

What you will do:

The Supply Chain Specialist position is responsible for scheduling, planning, and confirming orders while managing inventory levels to meet existing orders and/or forecasts. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager - HDK, and will serve as a deputy and assist in the development and implementation of production schedules to support company production. This role will maximize customer order service level at the lowest cost, which will be implemented by successfully controlling cost through the efficient management of inventory and shipping methods. The Supply Chain Specialist II will also collaborate with Customer Service Representatives (CSR), Supply Chain (SC) and Business Team (BT) to improve communication and maximize the available inventories to meet the customer's needs.

  • Production planning of Charleston produced materials to meet forecasted captive and merchant demand. Using the Planning board and Process Orders; 30%
  • Places Purchase Orders with External HDK Producing Plant; 20%
  • Perform the Goods Receipt (GR) on inbound Purchase orders and maintain Inventory; 15%
  • Confirm and create Deliveries of Sales order to dispatch supply to customers; 15%
  • Manage communication with the Inbound logistics and Customs Group for updates and proper delivery of incoming materials, 10%
  • Other assigned duties as necessary in the planning & logistics organization; 10%

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge and work experience with MRP/ERP systems, experience in SAP is preferred.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to groups and to individuals.

  • Excellent planning and organization skills

  • Self-dependent and able to handle exception management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Supply Chain Planning and Distribution; Logistics Concepts and practices; International Shipping knowledge

  • Travel: Occasional travel as required; offsite warehouses, Training seminars and conferences

  • Very detailed oriented and goods follow up
