Coherus BioSciences is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support Commercial Supply Chain Management at our Redwood City Headquarters.

Specific job responsibilities:

  • Supports commercial manufacturing Supply Chain

  • Coordinates and monitors daily commercial drug substance, drug product and finished packaged product shipments at various contract manufacturers per the master production schedule.

  • Supports the serialization of commercial product

  • Monitors commercial shipments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any shipping related issues.

  • Updates commercial supply information in the master production schedule including part number, lot number, CMO location and quantities.

  • Completes daily inventory transactions including stock transfers, work orders, inventory adjustments and disposals.

  • Coordinates drug returns for re-distribution and for disposal activities with contract manufacturing sites.

  • Reviews inventory report for quantity, lot status, expiration dates. Rebalances CMO inventories when needed.

  • Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Coordinates domestic and international shipments to ensure Coherus SOPs are followed at contractor facilities.

  • Knowledge in Transportation/Logistics required

  • Strong Knowledge of US Customs and import/export compliance.

  • Experience working within a compliant import/export program in the Pharmaceutical/Biopharma or chemical industry.

  • Reviews and revises departmental SOPs to streamline and to improve current practices.

Specific education and experience requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience and a Associates degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands on planning experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Pharmaceutical GMP's strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical operations principles and supply chain practices.

  • Pharmaceutical production knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and industry practices.

  • Supply chain principles - knowledge and understanding of materials management principles purchasing, distribution, import/export, transportation, etc.

  • Finance - working capital.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong sense for internal relationship building and stakeholder management

  • Able to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously under constrained timelines.

Your Role: As Director of Supply Chain Management, you will manage and organize all activities related to the products and goods that we maintain and supply to our customers. Your role begins with identifying resources and materials and ends with the purchase of goods by our clients. You will partner with the operations and finance teams to help build and maintain efficient processes and procedures for supplier and inventory management.
