The Supply Chain Specialist initiates the purchase of goods and services and monitors and expedites open orders and invoice discrepancies. Maintains item file.

Maintains and delivers supplies as needed, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Receives all product into the site via the inventory management system, appropriately documents and directs delivery of all parcels.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

1.Create, confirm, and expedite all purchase orders for assigned departments. Assist end users with sourcing of products and services.

Verify electronic requisitions for proper approvals. Maintain item files, including vendor and distributor pricing, terms and conditions.

2.Resolve all issues of receipts, returns, quality (fitness for use) or invoicing issues for purchase orders.

3.Maintain and monitor all implants and supplies. Monitor stock levels and anticipate supply needs to prevent shortages and ensure readiness for surgical procedures.

4.Deliver surgical supplies to the operating rooms as needed, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Restock and organize operating room supplies to maintain proper inventory levels and accessibility.

5.Receive incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and packing lists. Inspect items for quality, accuracy, and compliance with hospital standards. Identify and report any damaged, expired, or recalled items.

6.Collaborate with suppliers and delivery personnel to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

7.Accurately document all inventory-related activities, including surgical supply usage.

8.Provide top level customer service to all internal and external customers in regards to supply requests, delivery requirements, problem resolution, and general information inquiries.

9.Establish and maintain professional working relationships with vendors and colleagues.



  1. Support the Materials Manager in maintaining daily Supply Chain needs for facility.

  2. Collaborate with Finance and Billing teams to ensure complete and accurate billing for each case.


Job Qualifications:

1.HS Diploma or GED.

2.1 - 3 years of experience.

3.Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
