Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.

  • Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers. In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.

  • Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.

  • Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.

  • Issues purchase orders.

  • Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.

  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.

  • Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.

  • Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.

  • Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

This is an onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years Or a Master's degree with 1 year of professional experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.

  • Be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.

  • The ideal candidate possesses strong time management and organization skills; Ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward.

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications.

  • Two-years' experience with negotiating terms and conditions in a Corporate setting.

  • Experience with Government purchasing and contracting.

  • SAP experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $56,600.00 - $85,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
