Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team. The position is located in St. Augustine, FL.
This position is in support of the Post Production Spares Center (PPSC) which supports both commercial and Government contracts.
Sourcing and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
Compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
Compiling information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
Preparing Request for Quote (RFQ), analyzing and evaluating quotes, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, negotiating prices and terms and conditions, selecting suppliers, writing awards, and administering resulting purchase orders by verifying delivery, resolving issues with suppliers, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.
Conferring with suppliers and analyzing supplier operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Negotiating and coordinating additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders.
Providing detailed status to management.
Creative in finding sources and resolving issues related to Diminished Manufacturing Sources (DMS).
Independently managing workload.
Developing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field and 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proficient in using MS Office Suite of tools: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with the management of other organizations (program management, contracts, business management, etc.) as well as with the suppliers on the program.
Must be motivated, organized and have effective time management skills.
Ability to brief internal and external customers.
Must be able to effectively work independently with very general supervision.
Knowledge of FAR/DFARS
