Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead a team of Global Supply Chain procurement individuals who are responsible for parts and material ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory tracking, and dispositioning to optimize parts and material flow.
Directly supervise, manage and lead Supply Chain procurement team to ensure timely ordering, receiving, inventory, payment, and disposition of parts, materials, and equipment, optimizing cost vs schedule for parts delivery.
Develop, mentor, coach and engage the team, managing workload assignments to ensure that daily requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs of the Global Supply Chain organization.
Identify and implement long term procurement strategies for continued success of the team and Supply Chain efficiencies.
Foster proper engagement with the organizational and program functional teams and facilitate communication of requirements and status to Innovation Systems leadership.
Ensure active status in NGIS Supplier database of vendors and suppliers; identify potential tactical and strategic suppliers.
Ensure parts and material inventories are monitored, tracked, and maintained at all times to minimize out of stock situations.
Authorize and approve purchases, as appropriate.
Administer any daily, weekly, monthly contracts for parts and services.
Other tasks as assigned.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and team building skills, including a command of oral and written skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to translate strategic vision into tactical application.
Bachelors Degree, or 8 years of experience with Masters; in lieu of a degree, 14 years of relevant work experience will be considered.
10 years as a Procurement Officer.
Experience with a variety of sourcing and procurement techniques
Experience with determining quality and timing of deliverables.
Familiar with FAR & DFAR compliance.
Experience ensuring terms and conditions have been flowed down to the supplier via the Purchase Order.
Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.
Experience establishing payment terms.
Intermediate knowledge of Cost Point 7.
Collecting and analyzing data from Cognos.
Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
Strong leadership capabilities.
Aptitude in decision making.
Talent in negotiations and networking
