The Procurement/Supply Chain Internship position provides an opportunity for students who are currently pursuing a Supply Chain, Business, or like engineering degree to get hands on experience working with suppliers in a fast-paced Life Sciences environment. The Procurement/Sourcing intern will contribute to continuous improvement projects and advance best design practices.
The position starts in June, paid working 40 hours per week through August. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.
Provide project management support for various sourcing initiatives
Engage in supplier negotiations and cost optimization projects
Work with cross functional team to ensure project progression
Identify opportunities to streamline existing processes
Identify cost savings opportunities and assist team members in the execution of these strategies
Perform tasks independently with minimal guidance
Student enrolled in a supply chain or engineering program at an accredited college
Strong communication skills
Problem solving expertise
