Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • This position works to improved Sales and Operations Planning, high-velocity throughput, optimized logistics and capacity planning. This position works on project teams comprised of multi-functional resources, including business division supply chain planning, site global purchasing, operations, receiving, Global Transportation, Demand and Orders, Material Requirements Planning and Logistics.

  • Lead the monthly LPSD Parts S&OP process for 3500, 3600, & C175 engine platforms.

  • Work directly with internal Cat partners (Reman & PSLD) on developing and improving demand and supply planning processes related to Lafayette provided components to the aftermarket.

  • Consult on demand signals and inventory planning with relevant business partners to ensure appropriate mitigating actions are taken to meet customer expectations.

  • This position participates in lean events and works collaboratively with process partners and multiple business division functions to address and resolve issues using root cause and corrective action (RCCA).

  • Lead the effort to develop flexibility/agility targets at a component level to ensure our supply base can consistently deliver material in the timeframe required to satisfy customer expectations.

  • Develop tools & processes to proactively assess our ability to meet potential volume increases (risk assessment process)

  • This position addresses day-to-day constraints to improve performance and their ability to rapidly respond to Caterpillar requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from college or university related to Supply Chain, Engineering or Business + 5 or more years of supply chain experience OR 8 years of supply chain experience in an Order to Delivery role

  • Facilitation skills demonstrated through your ability to manage projects, lead discussions and guide teams though execution of high impact initiatives.

  • Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Experience in working in MAMM systems

  • A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business or similar area.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of lean concepts and tools.

  • Advanced understanding of supply chain planning processes and analytical tools.

  • Advanced understanding of common supply chain systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of 6Sigma Project Management principles.

  • Extremely strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a facility.

  • Previous leadership experience.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems.

  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge

  • Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
