Job Summary:

Responsible for the supply chain activities to include procurement, transportation, receipt, storage, distribution, quality assurance, contractual compliance, inventory management, charge compliance, disposal and reverse logistics functionality of disposable medical supplies.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads supply chain employees and outcomes relative to key performance indicators and organizational goals.

  • Sets clear expectations for work performance, outcomes and initiatives.

  • Supports recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding process.

  • Conducts ongoing coaching, assessment, training and education of staff.

  • Maintains scheduling, time off approval and time card sign-off.

  • Maintains optimal staffing.

  • Assesses existing practices for efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improved work load balancing, prioritization and resource allocation.

  • Responsible for maintaining proper stock levels and coordinates physical inventory cycle counts providing technical assistance. Maintains record of all physical inventory records.

  • Advises employees regarding warehouse related needs and requirements.

  • Develops and monitors qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure progress toward goals, productivity and throughput.

  • Participates in evaluation, selection and integration of technology and information management systems.

  • Meets with vendors and customers to identify and resolve concerns.

  • Collects and analyzes costs and productivity data to identify trends, project future budget needs and determine improvement opportunities.

  • Works with supervisors to develop and manage productivity standards, measurements and accountabilities.

  • Leads teams for the development of common workflow, policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School or GED required and

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or equivalent experience preferred

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in inventory, materials control, perpetual inventory systems or receiving, storage, picking and cycle counting required

  • 3 to 7 years of previous supervisory experience preferably in a union environment required

Additional Job Description:

This position will work with Senior Leadership and the OR Leaders within the Site and System to improve and optimize the effectiveness of supply chain and all its operational activities within the OR specifically. They will implement and manage supply chain strategy in the OR. They will work with Department Directors/Managers and Nurse Managers to effectively manage supplies and improve charge compliance of supplies. This position requires strong customer service skills, strong communications skills and the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively. The position will work to develop strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to benchmark across multiple departments and facilities within the site and across the Allina system
