TT Electronics' Olathe, Kansas facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic products and assemblies. The Olathe-based site has 65 years' experience in the design and development of unique harsh-environment solutions for mission-critical applications.

Our dedicated teams are driven by collaboration and innovation to deliver engineering-led products supporting key applications including power conversion, actuation and control systems where our solutions support a broad range of globally recognized major aerospace and defense platforms across air, land and sea.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

TT Electronics is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our Operations team. This role is primarily responsible for driving the strategic plan for supply chain, along with the day-to-day management of the purchasing and stockroom departments.

Essential Functions• Develops and executes supply chain strategies and plans.• Owns the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.• Directs all material activities, including translating engineering specifications to material requirements, and allow an analysis of make or buy alternatives.• Develops and leads supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates. • Partners with the New Production Introduction & Engineering teams to provide material estimates on potential programs and new business. • Maintains an effective organization and team with the objective of continuous improvement in product cost, quality and delivery, and in developing effective long term supplier relationships and capabilities. • Ensures the quality and timely delivery of purchased items in support of production schedules and customer requirements.• Partners with Operations to coordinate PFEP and update systems as needed. • Ensures continuous improvement for efficient processes and workflows in each area. Identifies process bottlenecks and participates in Kaizen events to improve. • Monitors and proactively addresses performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, and quality.• Directs the planning and control of inventory, controlling inventory costs, and ensuring support to all manufacturing and marketing operations.• Advises suppliers with Supplier Management Best Practices which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.• Collaborates with other TT locations to ensure best practices and analyze supplier relationships across Power Solutions North America. • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field with 5+ years' minimum of previous working experience in manufacturing operations. • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is required.
  • 5+ years leadership experience managing effective teams. • Proficient in ERP software systems, Epicor experience a plus. • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.• Knowledge of working requirements of AS9100 quality standard is strongly preferred.• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, as well as a demonstrated analytical expertise to plan, solve problems, and establish priorities, are required.• Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with a wide audience of internal and external customers is required.• Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
