Job Description

Third Wave Automation is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to work with our hardware team. As the Supply Chain Manager you will oversee all aspects of the supply chain process at Third Wave Automation, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products to our customers. This role involves managing procurement, logistics, and distribution operations, and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency with Fortune 500 partners such as OEMs and customers. As the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, as the Supply Chain Manager, you will have strong industry knowledge of material handling equipment such as forklifts to assist with production requirements. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

How You Can Make an Impact

  • Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction while being cost effective.

  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Directs and coordinates supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.

  • Works with warehouse and logistics departments to determine and set up inter company transfers.

  • Works directly with the sales department to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.

  • Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

  • Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set the best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).

  • Collaborates with the procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.

  • Supports proper utilization of ERP systems (Planning Edge, Accellos).

  • Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary

  • Familiarity with safety regulations, including those outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience

  • Experience in warehousing and/or forklift operations/industry, with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and/or material handling equipment.

  • APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM)

  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges

  • Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency

  • Able to work independently and within a team

  • Ability to lead, train and mentor employees individually and as a team

  • Strong negotiation skills

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000/yr +benefits+equity; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location.
