The Supply Chain Manger (SCM) leads, plans, organizes, and directs Supply Chain Management functions and activities for their specific hospital. They are responsible for developing goals, objectives, and establishing standards of performance and productivity for the department. This position makes independent decisions and implements changes as needed to improve services and ensures effectiveness and efficiencies across all Supply Chain functions locally and throughout the enterprise.
The Supply Chain Manager oversees the processes and operational areas of procurement that include local supply contracting, supply conversions, distribution (Just-in-time), product selection and inventory control.
Supply Chain Manager is responsible for driving contract compliance by utilizing our Group Purchasing Organization to source product inquiries to maintain contract compliance and standardization initiatives, to ensure overall cost reduction and enterprise wide cost savings based on predefined enterprise strategic goals and performance metrics.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for Selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, assigning, directing and supervising departmental personnel. They are responsible for evaluate work performance and initiates or recommends personnel actions such as merit increased, promotions, demotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and/or termination.
This position will report to the Hospital Administrator/Operations Director and Regional Director of Supply Chain Management.
Bachelor in Business or related field
5 Years Management/Supervisory in Supply Chain/Purchasing
Additional Experience Information:
Knowledge of medical supplies preferred
Knowledge of key activities within the supply chain organization to include: Purchasing, Inventory Management, Contracting, Logistics, A/P Finance, and Value Analysis preferred
Lawson suite of supply chain programs preferred
Certification and Licensures:
Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) Preferred OR
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Preferred OR
Certified Purchasing Associate (CPA) Preferred
