The Supply Chain Manager - Logistics role is a key part of the Vehicles Program Team in developing the most advanced fleet of electric vehicles in the world, including electric scooters, electric cars, electric bicycles, and other types of light electric vehicles in San Francisco, Barcelona and rapidly expanding across the world. This person is a strategic & tactical owner responsible for building the process behind global shipment of raw and finished goods throughout our supply chain.
What you will do:
Work with shipping partners, handle logistics and optimization of supply chains associated with vehicles, batteries, and parts for on-going maintenance.
Evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, issue POs, and track on-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery. Cultivate trusting, reliable supplier relationships
Lead procurement initiatives for vehicle direct materials and supporting engineering services
Proactively engage with Scoot engineering and finance stakeholders to derive and execute on the medium term (1-2 years) business and technology roadmap to support Scoot's vehicle development program launch timeline and overall business case
Lead the day-to-day process of ensuring successful partnerships (milestone adherence, change order management, quality assurance, cost control, etc.) and build supplier performance assessments to support future sourcing decisions
Support and inform internal stakeholders with respect to supplier selection and management
3-5 years of experience in logistics or purchasing in automotive, 3PL or consumer electronics business
Top Bachelor's degree required, Master's/MBA preferred
Experience designing/redesigning supply chain and logistics processes and programs to build capacity and/or increase efficiency; Strong ability to look forward, forecast, identify constraints
Strategic sourcing, financial and business opportunity analysis, comfort with legal frameworks and contract negotiation (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements) skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including C-level, engineering, legal, finance, manufacturing, and logistics
Superior analytical skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and SQL/ Looker skills. Project software experience(Smartsheet /Asana) a plus.
Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
