The Supply Chain Manager - Logistics role is a key part of the Vehicles Program Team in developing the most advanced fleet of electric vehicles in the world, including electric scooters, electric cars, electric bicycles, and other types of light electric vehicles in San Francisco, Barcelona and rapidly expanding across the world. This person is a strategic & tactical owner responsible for building the process behind global shipment of raw and finished goods throughout our supply chain.

What you will do:

  • Work with shipping partners, handle logistics and optimization of supply chains associated with vehicles, batteries, and parts for on-going maintenance.

  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, issue POs, and track on-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery. Cultivate trusting, reliable supplier relationships

  • Lead procurement initiatives for vehicle direct materials and supporting engineering services

  • Proactively engage with Scoot engineering and finance stakeholders to derive and execute on the medium term (1-2 years) business and technology roadmap to support Scoot's vehicle development program launch timeline and overall business case

  • Lead the day-to-day process of ensuring successful partnerships (milestone adherence, change order management, quality assurance, cost control, etc.) and build supplier performance assessments to support future sourcing decisions

  • Support and inform internal stakeholders with respect to supplier selection and management

Required qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics or purchasing in automotive, 3PL or consumer electronics business

  • Top Bachelor's degree required, Master's/MBA preferred

  • Experience designing/redesigning supply chain and logistics processes and programs to build capacity and/or increase efficiency; Strong ability to look forward, forecast, identify constraints

  • Strategic sourcing, financial and business opportunity analysis, comfort with legal frameworks and contract negotiation (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements) skills

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including C-level, engineering, legal, finance, manufacturing, and logistics

  • Superior analytical skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and SQL/ Looker skills. Project software experience(Smartsheet /Asana) a plus.

  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders

You will setup communication channels and manage identification, negotiation, segmentation and acquisition of products from a myriad of geos and monitor performance and adjust strategy as required. Using your experience, contacts and creativity, you will explore the supply chain to identify areas for improvement. What You'll Do * Work with data science and logistics team to identify optimal circumstances for sourcing, purchasing and delivering products employing various strategies * Work directly with a variety of manufacturers and merchants across a variety of geos and product verticals identifying those most likely to lead to successful unit economics and scaling * Negotiate pricing and contracts * Work with BD teams in China, US and the EU and employ personal rolodex of contacts to identify optimal opportunities * Suggest and employ innovative sourcing and logistics techniques facilitating business across numerous geos * Adhoc support for other on-demand projects in a fast paced startup environment Who You Are: * At least 5+ years of supply chain operations experience * Fluent in Mandarin, can communicate effectively, speak and write * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or Economics * Significant experience in negotiating pricing and contracts * Understanding of eCommerce shipping, cross-border shipping requirements * Familiar with warehousing in an eCommerce environment, especially cross-border eCommerce * Track record in planning, execution and delivery of projects * Understanding of INCOTERMS and familiarity with customs, tax, and duty requirements for international shipping * Ability to travel occasionally, strong experience with supplier performance management and reporting in working with performance metrics, performance scorecards and supplier review * Ability to drive change with a long term perspective across multiple functions and transform the business. * Ability to cope with a fast-paced and changing environment. * Team player, curious, constructive, self-motivated, result-oriented * Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, including an ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization, technical and non-technical audience Wish is transforming the way the world shops by offering a convenient and personalized mobile shopping experience.
