This particular position supports the McDonald's U.S.A. business segment by developing and implementing supply chain plans for highly visible and strategic new product offerings significant to the organization.

In this role, you will the lead supply chain new product development as part of a team that orchestrates demand and supply planning activities for all new products, coordinates significant internal and supplier resources, influences priorities and decisions across and down the organization, develops risk profiles for all raw items prior to major investment decisions as well as develops and advocates for plans that minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities. The work requires in-depth analysis, complex problem solving, and exercising judgment regarding situations that have frequently not been encountered in the past. You will manage in a highly dynamic, collaborative and customer driven environment.

This role works closely with cross-functional partners including the Menu Strategy & Innovation, Consumer & Business Insights, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Distribution, and leads the following activities:

  • Identifies business requirements for Supply Chain new product development

  • Develops strategic sourcing plans and options for new products, including capital investment requirements and at times RFP execution

  • Develops and manages the product costing for the business case from product development through launch

  • Orchestrates the development of demand and supply strategies including financial risk assessments

  • Gains alignment with key stakeholders throughout company including senior leadership & franchisees

  • Manages the execution of promotional and national new product introductions with key resources including suppliers

VIEW JOBS 12/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-14T00:00 The Supply Manager will work directly with both Senior and mid-management members of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Finance to effectively develop and communicate the most accurate, non-biased demand plan that will drive an integrated operational and financial planning process. The candidate will facilitate the Supply Planning Review process for S&OP; influence key leaders and stakeholders to take recommended actions to improve demand plan quality and supply plan execution as well as reconciliation where needed. This position will leverage best practices and drive for continuous improvement in the Large Capital Sector. The Supply Manger is responsible for assuring supply and delivery of products while obtaining the optimal balance between cost and service. This balance allows Hill-Rom to achieve sales goals by minimizing back orders and reduce costs through inventory optimization. Identify constraints and issues associated with the established production and replenishment plans and develop options available for resolving issues * Communicate and coordinate with plants to generate and implement production plans required to achieve a balanced manufacturing capacity, and support the business on both make to stock and make to order items. * Identify constraints and issues associated with the established production plans, develop options available for resolving issues, develop key conclusions and recommendations based upon the plans and effectively and proactively communicate options, conclusions and recommendations to marketing and operations * Work directly and autonomously with plant planning, customer service, product managers, and directors of marketing to identify customer service issues, coordinate activities necessary to identify options for resolution and recommend best path forward * Calculate and maintain safety stocks and other planning parameters. Driving discipline in safety stock and inventory reviews necessary to establish, monitor and improve customer service performance * Communicate business performance against key business indicators and associated metrics. * Manage inventory investment considering forecast, production plans, plant or supplier capacity, lead-times and financial constraints. * Support order management for regional product distribution to include by not limited to communicate delivery, shipment, and stock availability dates * Coordinate with site planning, marketing, finance and other functional teams to support plant consolidations, product line transfers, new product launches and other projects that may impact targeted customer service levels, inventory investment and other operating objectives. * Support manufacturing production and supply planning using Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One system. * Monitor, maintain and identify major sensitivities to forecast and actual demand in collaboration with Marketing and other functional areas. * Attend and actively participate in recurring Sales and Operations Planning Meetings, staff meetings, process improvement teams, and IS projects. * Actively seek out ways to improve and enhance Global Supply Chain processes and follow-up on the review/implementation of improvements. * Provide high quality advice to customers regarding data availability, accuracy, and relevance to specific questions as a basis for decision support * Coordinate with Manufacturing, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Quality and other disciplines to support Global and Corporate initiatives, product line transfers, new product launches and other projects that may impact targeted inventory investment or other operating objectives. * Assist in the development of GSC strategies, policies, and objectives.
