This particular position supports the McDonald's U.S.A. business segment by developing and implementing supply chain plans for highly visible and strategic new product offerings significant to the organization.
In this role, you will the lead supply chain new product development as part of a team that orchestrates demand and supply planning activities for all new products, coordinates significant internal and supplier resources, influences priorities and decisions across and down the organization, develops risk profiles for all raw items prior to major investment decisions as well as develops and advocates for plans that minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities. The work requires in-depth analysis, complex problem solving, and exercising judgment regarding situations that have frequently not been encountered in the past. You will manage in a highly dynamic, collaborative and customer driven environment.
This role works closely with cross-functional partners including the Menu Strategy & Innovation, Consumer & Business Insights, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Distribution, and leads the following activities:
Identifies business requirements for Supply Chain new product development
Develops strategic sourcing plans and options for new products, including capital investment requirements and at times RFP execution
Develops and manages the product costing for the business case from product development through launch
Orchestrates the development of demand and supply strategies including financial risk assessments
Gains alignment with key stakeholders throughout company including senior leadership & franchisees
Manages the execution of promotional and national new product introductions with key resources including suppliers
