We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Manager to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for the Components Business Segment in York, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management, and order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains.
Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
Mitigate long-term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders.
Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Approach daily problem-solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
Develop, understand, and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.
Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources, and capital.
Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
Qualifications
Education, Licenses, Certifications
B.S. or BA in an applicable field, MBA preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
This position is ONSITE in York, SC.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Bachelor in Supply Chain or Business is required. MBA preferred.
A significant level of relevant work experience is required.
Familiar with acquisitions and mergers.
Understanding warehouse management is a plus.
The Supply Chain Manager will lead the day-to-day materials operations to include the following:
Weekly production planning
Expedite material approvals.
Customer Escalations
Weekly overtime planning.
Plant Gemba safety walk.
The Supply Chain Manager will lead the following projects:
Kitting relocation to 3rd party warehouse.
Material flow design for new brake build line.
Addition of new robotic material handlers.
